Oh my! Alienware... mm... I've always built my own computers, but I'd GLADLY take one of those custom crafted beauties off their hands. Unfortunately I'm not really grand with terrains and such.

Hey, Bryster, you could always paint it. :^D

WOOHOOO! Finally something I am good at (Making screwball colors and scenes!) One of my grand messups just might win! LMAO.

Great news Drac! This is a great contest, but read the instructions carefully. No poser or canned characters. Everything has to be made by you. No lifeforms or objects copied out of movies or other media. Unusual textures are a plus. Seems like it was made for Bryce.

draculaz ( ) posted Sun, 07 December 2003 at 12:11 PM

yeah, and you're not allowed terrain generators either. no biggie...

Erlik ( ) posted Sun, 07 December 2003 at 1:31 PM

Whaddaya mean, no terrain generators? That would mean no Bryce, no Mojoworld, no Terragen etc. But also no Dreamscape for Max or similar plugins. Or I'm not getting a joke? And WTH they mean with "concept sketch"? I'm supposed to draw? Me?

draculaz ( ) posted Sun, 07 December 2003 at 4:38 PM

as in don't just click the terrain generator icon in Bryce. Make the terrain in something else, if you are using terrains. And prove it by taking shots of whatever. I don't know, don't really care about that because you can do tons of other things. All you need is a good knowledge of Wings :) as for the drawing part, that kinda annoys me as well. shrug Drac

Erlik ( ) posted Sun, 07 December 2003 at 6:12 PM

Pfui. Like I cannot make the land as a river terrain in Mojoworld and then export it to Bryce. Much more buttons to click and more difficult thusly. :-) But I didn't see the requirement for "not clicking the terrain generator icon". Is "heightfield from bitmap" allowable?

If heightfield from bitmap is allowed then surely thats only a small stretch back to the TE?
