Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 11 12:18 am)
Same here mate... I signed up Early saturday morning (European time) it's about 2 hours shy of beeing 48 hours now, have send and polite E-Mail... will send a not so polite E-Mail in a minute. And to think I mainly signed up to use John Malis' Crusaders pack, which requires the Immortal suit to work. This is NOT how you run a subscription site. Definatly going to be a one time only for me.
If this is your first sign-up-- you'll probably get your money's worth-- they have some fine textures, not as many as I had hoped and a couple of very good useable and textured historical outfits. Nice Japanese hakama for M2. Pirates and Wolves pack are worth the money-- but they don't keep up. and the quality has been declining. Very little up on M3, nothing so far on the Freak. It's too bad, started well with lots of talent but. . . You write off these kinds of problems if it's freebies, but not when you have to pay for the privilege. I'm not sure I ever got my exstension either. Emily
Yup they do have some nice stuff, some of those multi character poses I could use right away for a large group battle image I'm working on (probably going to break my PC on this one hehe) Sure it's a great deal, all that content for $30... but CS means something to me, that's why I'm so fond of using DAZ, their CS is the best I have ever come acros, not limetet to the 3d modeling field either.
"I got am e-mail from them tonight asking me to rejoin. Let's see......I could hardly ever get to the site, they never answered my e-mails, they never gave me my promised extension from when they were down. Nope, I think not!" Ditto. The quality of the items have been quite good (although, as noted, it seems to be declining). The quality of their service is bloody awful. I'm not going back any time in the forseeable future. bonni

I got that "We want you to rejoin" e-mail too. So I went and had a look. My sub ended sometime in august, and there were, as far as I could see, only 4 or five new items since then. So no thanks. Not this time. Perhaps in a year or so, if the site still exists. And there's some new stuff worth the money. It's not that it isn't good quality, but simply that there's not ENOUGH of it.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
I did wornder about that too, but it just didn't look like there was much new stuff to me. Perhaps the mix up is that my sub ended in august but due to that extra time we all got becourse they were down I was actually a member longer? I can't REMEMBER when my sub ran out. I'm not dissin them, their stuff is nice, I just don't feel like joining again at the moment. The deal is simply not good enough to me :o)

I have been VERY happy with what Poserstyle offered. Whiel the number of releases is not as some places it is well worth the $. If in 6 months I get 2-3 items I woudl have paid $30 for then I made my money back - and the Multisuits alone are worth that. The trick is their quality. The meshes are good, the textures are good. I much prefer a slower release schedule.
my 2 cents. They had a problem with the IP thing, now fixed, redid their site now fixed. only 1 week was the update late, and the next week there were 3 items to make up for that. they added 17 extra items in the month of Sept I think it was, as BONUS items to try and make up for some of the problems. They pretty much say 1 item a week and that's what ya get, some weeks there is a extra bonus, sometimes not. so if your expecting a lot of new stuff, don't think this is going to happen. they have had in the past a lot of different artists working, and the names have changed, most of all that had now been dealt with and with the new site things are faster, and easyer to get around in. Writing to Whitney the site guy will get you answers relativly quickly, he has been very good about responding to questions or IM here that I have asked him. They do have a more Wizard of OZ aproach, never heard from the guys behind the scenes, but it's there and working. Thats been my take on my 2-3 months as a member there. been very happy with the quality, hate pose packs so that gets a bit old for me but what the hay some of those pose packs have been the best around and useful.
At one time, I could not get onto PoserStyle's site, and they did not answer my inquiring e-mails. So, I let my sub expire. I will not renew. Admittedly, Poserstyle's items were top-quality. But, as has been mentioned elsewhere in this thread, the item releases were slow. Poserworld, on the other hand, delivers everything that it promises. Poserworld is more than worth the money.
I don't think that anyone is saying that this is either/or. It's just that PoserStyle and Poserworld both have similar business models -- thus, the comparison between the two is natural.
Myself, I've "enrolled" as a site member several times since they cut off access to the freebies section for what ever reason. The membership is processed but I never get the response email that actually has the link to allow you to finish the registration. I heard from the site owner about a month ago when he explained that there were problems but to keep trying. I continue to try, with little success, but hey...I'm a Cubs fan...I believe in lost causes. ;-) There's no telling what the actual problem is. Patience is probably the best bet at this time.
I think they have some of the best quality poser items. Their site has been a little difficult to get to. Usually you had to use the IP numbers when that happened. But it was usually never more than a day at a time. Except when I first joined and they were having a lot of problems. They just re-did their site and moved it somewhere I think. That seems to have really improved things. Again, I think the quality is so good, that I rejoined.
About 3 days after I paid I recieved membership access. The things I checked out so far are really nice, I'm very pleased with the quality of the items. And about 130 Poser items for 30 bucks is a hell of a deal. I don't plan to renew, but for first time customers I would recommend it. Customer service totally sucks, but it's a one time deal thing so I can live with that. I got a cable connection so I downloaded the whole library pretty quick.

Was wondering if anyone else was experiencing probs here. Friday afternoon I paid for a subscription via credit card. It said it'll take usually 6-8 hours (which I thought was pretty long in this day and age) but no more than 24. Recieved payment confirmation from Mypaymentsystems.com Saturday morning. Nothing from Poserstyle. Checked e-mail again Sunday morning, still nothing. Wrote them e-mail, no response. Is this standard procedure there?
