I judt picked up the P5 upgrade from P4. I know I have seen posts about transfering your files over to P5 but I can't find the threads. can anybody help me with how to transfer the files or point me in the right direction. Thanks

You don't have to transfer anything, unless you plan to completely delete Poser 4. P5 can read your existing P4 runtime from its current location.

jelisa has a tutorial here.

Actually it's not such a great idea to have Poser 5 read Poser 4 stuff, in my opinion. Poser 4 uses BUM bump maps, while Poser 5 uses jpg bump maps. You can get some really crappy results if you mix the two. Besides, BUM bump maps take up lots of space on your hard drive. I found it makes more sense to reinstall your stuff for Poser 5 only. You can use multiple runtimes, etc, and organize your stuff better.

I keep my Pro-Pack installed next to my P5 because the elimination of cross-talk in P5 sometimes cause problems (eg, using joint controlled morphs). That way I can set the scene/figure up in Pro-Pack, taking advantage of the JCM's and then bring that .pz3/.pzz into P5 for final rendering.
