Hi guys, something I'm dinking around with at the moment. Here's a new body armor texture that fits the Freak, Mike 3 and Vicky 3. Don't know when this will be done, but wanted to know what you guys thought so far. The boots are custom made for the Freak. Comments welcome and encouraged as usual, Davo

Wow Davo, looks very cool! I'm glad you've revisited the Shard armor for the new millenium figures! That has always been one of my favorite sci-fi outfits! BTW, I didn't know your Sci-Fi Construction kit was out already. I'm gonna have to pick up that also!

This looks very good, will definitely consider getting it when available

Like the look. faceplate looks more scuba dirver than combat armour, for combat visibility is a must and that seems odd on the face plate. the nipples on the shoulderpads there are 2 on the right and 1 on the left, what are these intented for? why the difference? The rifle arch on the top makes it look sort of organic my 1st impression was The Freak has a large potato shooter, little 50's scifi for my tastes. other than those takes on it I like the design on the chest and the look of the pack close to an Alien movie suit but very different and I like that. sorry for the blast, just throwin in my 2 cents.

Thanks for the kind comments guys :-) The head and shoulders device is inteded (in my opinion) as more of a communications/command center, this character would be a commander giving orders and overseeing the combat. The nipple devices are whatever you want them to be, I was thinking of them as sensors or laser weapons. The rifle is a plasma gun with laser site under the barrel, the. I'm trying to keep these weapons, accessories (and there is a lot more that I haven't shown you, including jet pack, retro style helmet, more rifles, handguns, backpack communication unit, range-finder/view binoculars and more) all textured and consistant with the armor shard sets. I will have a couple more body textures, one of the nice things about the freak and M3-V3 is they all take the same texture, so I don't have to transfer from one template to another.

You do sci-fi with a style like nobody else, Davo...per usual, this is in a league all its own. Great great armor set...

Hi Davo, love the clear helmet (so that we can see the Freak's facial expressions), textures and killer boots! However, I would prefer a more "streamlined" and uncluttered look on the shoulders; as those "sensors or laser weapons" may obscure peripheral vision, you may wish to make them as "detachable" smart props or move them to an "add-on" back pack. You may also consider an "armored cod-piece" (for want of a better description) as he looks rather "vulnerable" and chilly down there! Can't wait for this to be available! Cheers! ;-D

Excellant work as usual.

Needless to say, I'd buy this in a New York minute. Looks great, Davo! (Though maybe we need some new shard suits for the Unimesh characters?) Guy
