Can anyone out there recommend a book or books on cinematography methods/principles? Something with extensive coverage on lighting maybe?

"Lighting for Television and Film" by Gerald Millerson. Not cinamatography, but it seems to be the most highly recomended lighting text around. There are also some new digital lighting books out or about to come out.

If you can find it this book is great on aesthetics and theory: Herbert Zettles "Sight, Sound, and Motion" also Lenny Lipton has some interesting books, titles escape me. The Malkeiwicz book above is one the the best survey books.
