Subject: Little Dog! Did anyone see a little dog?

usslopez ( ) posted Tue, 16 December 2003 at 4:12 PM · edited Tue, 26 November 2024 at 2:50 AM

I swear I saw a little dog at DAZ3D when looking at Golum(sp)for freak. I went back to the main page and didn't see it up then went back and it was gone! It was cute...

No need to swear... I saw it too. I did think the eye areas were a wee bit overdone though. They're frisky little beggars- never stay in one place long enough to catch them. - Jack

sparrowheart ( ) posted Tue, 16 December 2003 at 4:48 PM

I bet it was the Silverleif Studios dog. That is supposed to be coming very shortly. (I for one am waiting anxiously.) ;-)

jval ( ) posted Tue, 16 December 2003 at 5:27 PM

I believe you are correct Sparrowheart. It seems your wait will soon be over. - Jack

Scarab ( ) posted Tue, 16 December 2003 at 5:43 PM

That's not the same as the "millineum dog" is it? Scarab

jval ( ) posted Tue, 16 December 2003 at 5:57 PM

No, it's not the same. - Jack

Puntomaus ( ) posted Tue, 16 December 2003 at 6:01 PM

Ohh, I saw it too and thought I'd buy it tomorrow ... I bet someone left the door open and it ran away.

The little dog is on PP now and coming back to DAZ soon as I understood but it is on PP now for the same prize

sparrowheart ( ) posted Tue, 16 December 2003 at 7:11 PM

Not only is it at PoserPros now...it has a whole arsenal of accessories. The Pirate Pack by Netherworks almost made me fall out of my chair. That peg leg is to die for! Needless to say, a whole lot of dogginess found its way into my shopping cart in a hurry. I'm really looking forward to playing with this one ;-) Kimberly

pdxjims ( ) posted Tue, 16 December 2003 at 7:21 PM

Yikes! No money for Christmas, $2000 worth of bills and $200 in the bank account. And what am I doing? Wondering if I take my change back if I'll have enough to eat on and still get the dog. ARRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

sparrowheart ( ) posted Tue, 16 December 2003 at 7:30 PM

Oh no...pdxjims, you sound like me. At least you wonder BEFORE you make the purchase. Unlike someone else I could name.... ;-) Kimberly

I didn't see a mouth open morph in the description so there he stays, as cute as he is.

The one with the waggly tail? How much is that doggy in the window? I do hope that doggy's for sale :) Just remember, peeps... A dog is for life, not just for Christmas. Serious note, if you are thinking of giving an animal for a gift, don't. There are far too many of our furry friends who are abandoned when the novelty wears off. Please, if you want to give a good home to a companion animal, do it for yourself, when you feel ready. End of lecture. :)

Merrilyn is a friend of mine and asked me to look at her dawg. It is adorable and familiar. It is exaxtly what it is supposed to be and poses great. The polygon count is appropriate for it and it is UltraUn-Wrapped for it's mapping. For people who love little dogs, it is a collector item for sure. -Anton

If Daz want me to spend any more money they better release Stephanie - quickly! :) I daredn't buy a thing until I know whether I will want to buy accessories for her! ** Do you think that will work, folks?? **

Silverleif-Studios ( ) posted Wed, 17 December 2003 at 3:10 AM

ernyoka1 and daveso the little dog has a jaw group, actually his mouth is opened when you get him straight out of the box, and you can open or close it as you wish by using his jaw group... These threads have more info and technical stuff reguarding him: http://www.poserpros.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20213 http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12413&Form.ShowMessage=1562160&Reply=1566744#21

I bought him last night and yes, his mouth opens fine and I love his eyes!

My idea of rebooting is kicking somebody in the butt twice!

Dave-So ( ) posted Wed, 17 December 2003 at 8:22 AM

great on the mouth..can he snarl and bite ???? he may be cute, but he needs to snarl and bite... That huge mill cat has competition now

Darn, mouth opens. Now off to buy him

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

nickedshield ( ) posted Wed, 17 December 2003 at 9:30 AM

Opinion: Has very limited mouth function. Yes the jaw opens , tounge can stick out and the jowels are moveable but teeth do not maintain relationship to the mouth. I don't think it could be turned into a fighting dog but for cute and cuddly not a bad price.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Dave-So ( ) posted Wed, 17 December 2003 at 9:38 AM

it is what it is, I guess :) Well, I'll wait for the mill dog for the bite and snarl... this will work for cute

I've seen a few packs in the works by other artists that turn him into different things...Give it a bit of time folks, I didnt think it was possible to turn my little cutie into a monster, but I've been wrong before :) Netherworks has made a hell hound of him (not yet released) as well as some really nice morphs to tuffen him up a tad (also not yet released)... Liz is doing Sight Hound morphs for him and Daio is really going off on some more texture variations... He's only a day old, no pups are mean at that age :)~

I'll get you my pretty, and your little dog too!

nickedshield ( ) posted Wed, 17 December 2003 at 12:46 PM

SS I don't think people really wanted mean, just more of an open mouth ability with the teeth in the proper place. Like when he's happy and greeting- mouth open tounge out. AKA expression. That's what makes him so darn cute, plus his eyes. Just my wish list.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.
