This was all my fault and I take full blame for the misunderstanding, and you can not even know how horrible I feel that I put even one person through the trouble of uploading their gallery images when they did not need to. In my eagerness to get a message to everyone to let you know what had happened - I misread a communication from the programmers. I promise to not let this happen again - and will be more diligent in the future to be sure and check my facts over serveral times, before posting to the community. I appologize to everyone, and I am as happy as everyone that the images are all back up and running again. Sincerely, Dee-Marie

Okay, I just read the message previous to mine, and I've been wondering about something for awhile. No backup this time around for lost images? That sucks for people like that member. Okay, my thought....Renderosity decreased the daily upload limit from 3 to 1 due to costs associated with the storage and bandwidth usage of hosting our works. You can get the 3 uploads still if you're willing to pay $5 for a setup fee, and $5 a month to continue that privilege. I'm not willing to pay that, and I hate it when some of my images aren't available for viewing, so I have what I think could prove to be a cost effective, money saving solution for Renderosity. Some of us do have the ability to host our own images. We chose to upload them to R'osity because of our fellow members' comments/feedback, and the 'community' feel. I obviously speak for no one but myself, but I would love to host my own images/thumbnails here, get back my 3 uploads daily privilege, and I'd be willing to pay a $5 or $10 one time setup fee to do so. I'm already hosting my one free item and its thumbnail...can't something similiar be added to our accounts to allow us to host our own images/thumbnails in our galleries? Pretty much anything is possible with websites, so I imagine a little bit of work could make doing this possible. It cost me $5-10 one time, I'd get my 3 daily uploads back, and if my images disappeared, I'd have no one but myself to blame! R'osity wouldn't be out the storage space for my image files, and it'd cut down on their bandwidth by not having to serve up those files themselves. Anyway, that's my thought/suggestion/question.
