I think it is that time of the year - the Ebots are on Christmas Holiday - They tend to do that about twice a year - Once in Summer and again during the Winter holiday season :) As always, make sure that you have the I want my ebots notification button engaged within your Profile Page [the Receive notification button selected]. Make sure when you post messages that the Email me when someone replies box is checked. Also keep in mind, that if you have not posted, but other have posted under your post, that you may not get additional ebot notifications until you post again to that thread. And, sometimes the ebot are just affected by upgrades and might be slower to respond from one day to the next. Hang tight - and if after checking the above list you are still not reveiving your bots, please repost, and we will see what other measures can be done to solve the mystery of the missing ebots. Hi aleks If you are trying to track a thread that is very lengthy, be sure to return and post to the thread at least once a day. That way the bots will know that you are still interested. Let me know if that works :) Dee-Marie

ok, but you know the saying: blessed is the one who, having nothing to say, abstaines from giving in words evidence of the fact. ;)

yeah but you know those bad ebots and bottessessseses [female version of an ebot???] They do not deal with matters in a philosophical manner - They just think - Hey no Posting - no interst - no notice from da bots. We will have to think about sending them to a finishing bot-academy to gleem a wee bit of culture ;] Wishing you a most wonderful of holiday season aleks :) Dee-Marie

Oh yes - Ebots love truffles and ruffles and any kind of junk-food ;]

The reality of it is, Mr. Ebot simply fails from time to time, even if you do everything right on your part.

Good thing Mrs E-bot is there to catch him :]

I'm starting to get ebots that notify me of messages on threads I visited but did not post to. Perhaps they were trying to find aleks and bumped into me instead???

"As always, make sure that you have the I want my ebots notification button engaged within your Profile Page [the Receive notification button selected]." Um, stupid question, is this for all ebots, or just certain ones? I'd like to recieve notification, as i do now, when someone posts a comment to a gallery picture, or freebie, or store item, but with as many posts that go on in some threads, i never select notify me when someone has replied. Instead, I used the "Mark all Read" feature in the forums.. but each time i post to any thread/forum, i have to manually deselct the notify box. Is there a way, (and i just looked at the profile options twice) to have that lil box, by default, NOT be selected, and when i choose to want emails, select it myself? Thanks Jen

Hi Jen, Great Q, At the moment - Due to the fact that the majority of members do want to have the ebots notify them when a new person posts to a thread - You will have to "uncheck" the Notify box each time you post. Dee-Marie
