Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 11 12:18 am)
Yes not too difficult using ERC (basically having a 'master dial act on a slave dial of a different body part) Take a look at Ajax's EasyPose utility and his help files. There's a free cut down version and the whizzo commercial utility (Underground) which is awesome. If you want to really get into modelling and charachter/machine modelling its well worth the outlay) This can be done by hacking the CR2's of course but if you're like me, and don't like fiddling with 'gobbledy-gook' then go for the utility. It can't be done from within Poser.
You could try the technique used for FBMs, maybe that works on joint bends too and not only morphs. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with CR2 hacking so I can't tell you how that works in detail, you may want to look into a CR2 file of a figure with FBMs. Personally, I'd do it with a Python script, that'll give you precise control over the movements.

regaltwo, try my artist page here at renderosity. Scroll to the bottom for the downloads section. I didn't post the demo to the general free stuff because I don't have enough bandwidth for that and also there are a couple of problems I'd like to fix in the demo before it get's too widely distributed. In any case, the demo is save limited. It only lets you save very small figures.

I know how to use the setup room and grouping tool, but if I have a figure I'm creating, and I want more than 1 part to be moved by the same dial, can I do that, and how? What I have in mind is a device with multiple gears and parts and an arm that appears to get pulled back by the rotation of the gears, and I would like for my users to be able to operate it all with one dial, rather than having to adjust each seperately. Thanks.
