Subject: One more problem with Mimic/Poser

wayneout ( ) posted Thu, 17 August 2000 at 2:19 PM · edited Fri, 07 February 2025 at 9:17 PM

Hello, Here is the latest problem, I have also emailed Lip Sync support. Maybe I can find a easy answer. I have my Pz2 file from Mimic. I have my model, a lady, I am on face camera, I add the pz2 file. Then, I render which adds makeup, skin color, etc. Then, I click on make a movie. It makes the movie, the figure and the speech come out great. One problem, there is no makeup, no skin texture, etc. I have tried render, apply pose, (which undoes the render, so I render again, and then make movie, Still the same thing. I know I must be doing something wrong but I cannot figure it out. I have make seems like ten movies with all of them coming out the same. Any suggestions what I am doing wrong. Thanks, Bill

Check if you have set "current render settings" in the quality field of the menu Animation - Make movie ... Marco Barnig

P.S. I have mimic,(got it on the special!)and is there ANY way for me to NOT have to put it in my CD-ROM drive EVERYTIME I use it?What a pain in the ass!I tried to make my own copy(so I could use that)and it didn't recognize it.I feel ALOT safer putting in a COPY everytime, since the CD was over $100 bucks. What gives?

i have applied texture maps and nene hair with text & trans parency maps on the figure and hair. When I make movie with shadows selected there is alot of "non clean" shadowing around the face I think its the hair or maybe lighting. There is a lot of noise and shadow motion all around the face. Any suggestions to this problem Lance

Hi Tony, You may have to turn off the shadows for each component of the character and clothing. But leave them on for the lighting. It usually works for me. Hermit
