"Little Beaver" is my latest Shazam cutie. This IS HIGHLY addictive! Don't know why I'm having so much fun with this Shazam thing. I need to turn myself into Shazam Anonymous!

Hi Dizzie, Shazam for V1-V2- is the full Shazam character- head and body. (She does have her own body shapes that give her a more toned and muscled body, plus bigger hands and feet.) Shazam V1-V2 Only- is the Shazam Head and the default Vicky body. Uses Shazam heads but Vicky body morphs only (at least, that's the way I understand it.) The Vicky Plus- is Vicky for use with just the AutoLoad scripts. (Don't ask me exactly why- because I don't know why I would use this one- but dke, the creator of Shazam, is WAY AHEAD of all of us, and seems to have many future plans and ideas why you might want to use this character as a creation platform.) So far I have been doing everything with the top one- Shazam for V2, as it seems to do what I want. The Mike Beta is just the top one also, but not with the specialized bodies (yet). So mainly I am testing out Mike face morphs and scripts,- so far everything is working fine with M1-M2 faces, clothes, etc. And like I've said, dke has plans and ideas that are WAY BEYOND what people have seen so far. DAZ seems to really like what he's doing as well. He's a VERY bright and talented guy. Fortunately he has been putting up with most of my stupid questions!

I think I've mentioned it before, but when I first saw Shazam I though it was absolutely HIDEOUS! However a few of Pokeydot's renders made me change my mind :o) Shazam is a lot of fun! And I'm so happy to have a reason to use some of my V2 clothes again. I must confess that my V2 got more or less ditched when I got V3 and even with the V3 to V2 option, it's just more fun with the NEW clothes. To a point at least. Shazam is different. Very caricature-like, and the great part is that she takes Roxanne's morphs which enhances her immensly! Now I hope ShaMike (or whatever he'll be called) will be ready soon so my Shazam can get a playmate :o)

That may be one of the KEY REASONS why Shazam is a FUN PRODUCT- Most people ALREADY OWN a huge clothes collection for V1-V2! When I start playing with Shazam I know that I can have all kinds of wild character ideas and can just go to my Veritas Vault and Poser Productions backlot and cloth her as a Cowgirl, Indian, Cleopatra, etc. etc. These other new Toon babes are cute, but I don't feel like going off on a new clothes spending spree when I already OWN TONS of great clothes! My other NUDE Toon babes will soon be taking a trip to Yamato's Head-TransPlant Salon for a "new" V2 bod makeover. I'm convinced now this is the WAY TO GO!

I read other people comparing Shazam to Bratz Dolls--- Not actually being up on the DOLL SCENE, (other than Poser Dolls) I had to investigate and learned what these little cuties look like.

Actually- I can see that this will only ACCELLERATE the interest in the Shazam product as you can have even MORE FUN with 3D Dolls (and the clothes and makeup are MUCH LESS
expensive!) I finally realize why Koshini was popular, and why the Handspan and Sarsa versions are even BETTER- as they really move the faces in the BRATZ direction!
So obviously- SHAZAM is a FURTHER step towards the popular Bratz look! (If you are saying "DUH!"- please forgive my being outside the DOLL LOOP. I thought this stuff only existed in Poser- and you can now tell that I MUST NOT have a daughter or would surely know what the heck BRATZ dolls are!)

Check out the Handspan and Sarsa stores here at REN. I guess what I mean by "in the BRATZ direction" is the CUTE look of a girls face. Thorne originated this look with P4 girls and Handspan and Sarsa are really students of the Thorne School of Pre-Teen Cuteness- however I don't think any of them consulted a BRATZ doll first. It's just a realization by a range of people who are looking for the "essence of cuteness" or the "Cute Factor". My realization from this, and having looked at the BRATZ Doll angle (which is obviously successful) is to load up a SHAZAM head with Handspan and Sarsa CUTE PT MORPHS and take the next train to CUTE CITY -(Stopping also at Bratzville) for that Shazam Cutie look!

Hi Dizzie. Veritas asnwered this very nicely, (many thanks veritas,) but I'll add my two cents in as well. Here's the basic info: 1) Basically, the "Shazam for V1" and "Shazam for V2" are the full product. This is the one you usually want to use, and includes: a) the resized body parts and extremities b) either the Victoria 1 or Victoria 2 morphs c) the special addon morphs I created specifically for the Shazam/'Toon style. 2) The "Shazam V1 only" and "Shazam V2 only" is the same except it doesn't include the specialty morphs I added. This is just in case somebody prefers the standard 'familiar' V1/V2 morph sets, and didn't want to clutter it up with my additions 3) The "Victoria 1 Plus" and "Victoria 2 Plus" are the standard DAZ Vicki models without the resized body parts and extremities, but that include the morph AutoLoad features for/from Shazam. These are just for if you ever want to take a little break from the Shazam big head, big hands, big feet style :) It's there so that when you do start using the AutoLoad scripting features for Shazam, that effort can be instantly used with the 'standard' Vicky characters. So once you've added your favorite head and/or body morphs to the Shazam Addin-User scripts, you can also have these morphs loaded automatically no matter which of the variations you use. Saves a lot of disk space and you'll notice that even though there are 3 different V2 models, there's only one set of V2 morphs that is 'automatically' shared between all the versions. Hence the AutoLoad term. These AutoLoad-enabled versions for the standard Victoria 1 and Victoria 2 models will be part of the tutorial I'm writing about how the AutoLoad features work, and how to add it to any existing characters. You just get it first while I clear up any Shaz questions, and can then get back to the tutorial :)

with that new coupon, Shazam is only $9.95! I got mine now! ;) I tried using her with the vicky seanymph, but that was a no go... it just loaded the seanymph figure again, even if I tried to apply library presets... what did I do wrong there?

Hi Garee. Sorry to interrupt the present opening :) The link is to another thread that disusses adding new morphs to Shaz, and a brief intro to the included morph AutoLoad features. Here's a sample paragraph of (hopefully) one of the more important bits of info. ... The main readme refers you to the second one, but perhaps the comment was way down to the bottom where people missed it. In any event, the second readme is called "readmeShazScripts.txt", and can be found in the "Geometries/mgToon/ScriptsV1" folder. ... LOL!! The presents were opened a few hours ago, and Now's the time to see what christmas freebies I missed out on. I had not IDEA I'd even see a answer to this on Christmas! I'll follow that link.. I'm thinking the Shazam'd Sea nymph would look WAY cool!

Ours were opened some time ago as well, and as it turns out the kids have decided I'm last in line to try the new PS2 games. Not to mention, the only reason I was allowed to touch the PC CD's was to help install them, and now I've been informed the CD's for that are busy as well :) So I don't have access to the new stuff for the next several hours/days, and have nothing better to do than browse the forums :)

LOL!!! WEll, I still have to make dinner today, but the wife still hasnt left work yet. I REALLY want to try shazam out, especially with some of the more unsual v2 morphs and figures out there. Off the top of your head, do you thing v2 sea nymphs will work?

Any V1/2 morphs should work - it's the exact same geometry layout, so anything based on the V1 model. Morphs for V1, V2 or the MilGirls have all been used and work fine. I don't know if anyones tried that one specifically, but if it works for the regular V1 or V2 figures it's fine. The only possible reason to not work is for characters where they've made new body parts and replaced the exisiting V1/2 parts with their own. So Mermaid Tail morphs won't likely work on Shazam's or Vicky's legs :)
