My little GD (who will be 4 soon) and would dearly love a little dragon for christmas, asked me what little dragons would want for christmas. I said I thought that they would probably want little girls of their own, do you agree? I have gained a new little grandchild for this christmas, a little boy called Daithi (pronounced Dahey and the Irish for David) so in his honour I will wish you all Nollag Shona duit.

Being half-Irish meself, I return your Gaelic blessing to you and yours, Nollag Shona duit indeed! I'm sure your Granddaughter will be delighted with your dragon pic!

chohole, Cheer and good tidings to you and yours; the connection between us all is the spirit of our love to express what is in our hearts. The joy of seeing your works over the last year has lifted my heart at times and made me sad at others. I hope to see many more of your works over the next year. Merry Christmas and a Great New year, - TJ

I hope the holidays are right wonderful for all of those of you here who have holidays at this time (I'm only certain about the Christians and the Jews ... so sorry if there's someone out there I forgot.) Great image, chohole. I love the pose on the little dragon.

Could be worse, could be raining.

I'm afraid that the only Gaelic phrase I know is an expletive (also another members' handle..;) but Merry Xmas from across the pond.

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

Nollaig Shona a Chohole agus beannachti na fle, agus athbhliain faoi mhaise duit! (Yeah, I'm just showing off!)

New years resolution.....I must learn to speak more than a handful of phrases in the gaelic. My Irish daughter-in-law hasn't taught me all that. I get most of it. BTW I had realised after posting that I had made a spelling mistake, which could be very dodgy when one is using other than ones native tongue :-) She taught me to say "Nollaig faoi shean agus faoi shonas duit agus bliain nua faoi mhaise dhuit!" Its very difficult learning a language in e-mails, pronunciation is difficult, I get phonetic spellings.
