Okay, I've actually got a really serious reason guys for this selection, people. Start of the new year and all that, we've seen a number of new faces come and go over this year in particular. So, my proposal is that we all vote for self-portraiture as being the January theme. Just so we can all see who (what?!?) we talk to.... (",)

Sure..I'll be a tie breaker...I vote for self-portrait...and if it wins, try and reveal something about yourself (personality, likes, hobby, etc.) besides just your "outer shell."

Emotions could be an interesting challenge for the cold January. I think I voted for emotions before... and it's an important chapter of the Photography and the Art in general, and very difficult indeed. IMHO :)

seems we have a semi-general leaning towards self-portrait but a somewhat a somewhat we don't really want pictures of ourselves up in lights so to speak. How about an image of something that would best represent us as in our likes or dislikes,personality or something that makes a statment about us in general as opposed to our faces and just categorize it as "self"..... just a thought.... I think you are right on the money with this Jack.... With it looking as if SP is a shoe in for January I was thinking along the same lines, with ideas of my own for the challenge....
