Subject: Help please re: Eraser Tool!

I'm using PS 7.0, was doing some masking with using the eraser tool, and the cursor switched from a circular brush to a crosshair. I was able to get it back to the eraser icon cursor, but I find that unwieldy to use - I want my circular brush back! Thanks - I've been banging my head against the wall!

Do you by any chance have the cap lock on?

I've had this problem too in PS 6. No capslock on, or anything like that. Does this happen to you after you have been working on a project for a long time? I'm beginning to wonder if it is a cache or memory problem. The only thing I know to correct it is to reboot the computer. :( Hope someone can give you a better solution.

Try going to Preferences/Cursors and setting it to "Brush Size". - Ken Heronheart -

Often it's the caps-lock first but sometimes it can be the fact your "pref" file got pooped. tossing it and forcing PS to rebuilt it help many woes...

But i'd check the "capslock" first...
