Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 05 11:51 pm)
I have gotten that error as well and what normally happens is that the PZ3 was saved slightly larger than what your current window size is, and it is just telling you of the issue. It will work fine as window size effects nothing. I would not worry unless it gives you the error and does not work afterwords.

Here's a turnip for the books, maybe. For the last couple of days I've started getting an occasional error message on startup or loading a .pz3 that says "The requested window size is too large. Creating the next best thing..." Poser then goes on to open the file and work as normally as it usually does.
(Typical -- I just tried a minute ago to reproduce the error and got a faultless startup...)
I'm using Poser 4.0.3 in Win98 (with 512MB RAM and 1.3GHz AMD Duron if that's any help). My display is set at 1024x768 32-bit colour, and I usually work in a 700x525 window unless I'm about to render to an odd size or shape pic.
Is this something that happens when your runtime reaches a certain size (mine is huge and getting bigger after adding Vicky 2 and Mia, and snarfing down most of the seasonal freebies at RDNA) or is it just SNAFU as far as Poser's concerned...?
Or... (cue Vincent Price striking an ominous chord on his organ) have I discovered a brand new Poser weirdness?
