Attached Link: Wings/Bryce Tutorial.

It's online, it's sexy... and it's mine. Go visit my new tut on modelling a pit droid in wings from scratch. If you've never touched Wings before, or have touched it and considered yicky and slimy, or even if you haven't but wish you had, then this tut's perfect for you. Starts out with all the basic necessities of Wings, keys, mouse movements, hotkeys, tips and tricks, and then moves on to model the little runt :D Drac +happy

Sure to do that, its a good tutorial. Until now i have done very little with Wings, but i must admit that Draculaz ignited the fire for me and a very extensive and very complete manual for Wings.

yeah, bryster, i knew you were gonna ask. I tried zipping it with models and everything and because of its mass, it came to about 9 megs. I'll try to accomodate you somehow though, I promise. Send me an IM to remind me and i'll have something ready for you in a couple of days. Drac

Drac: Thanks, mate! But I was jusy on about the tut. The printer friendly version is too blurry on screen. I don't need the models, just the pics and text. Many thanks anyway! The Bryster

One thing I would have liked to see in this (and all other tutorials) is an explanation beforehand of why we are going to do something. Okay, so we scale the object by 160%, but why?

draculaz ( ) posted Mon, 29 December 2003 at 9:30 AM

redneck, because the idea is to make a torso, or an arm, etc. it's stated in the tut. step by step.

I got to page 100 already! Of course, I did skip pages 2-98. Looks like I have some work to do!

catlin_mc ( ) posted Mon, 29 December 2003 at 6:05 PM

This is brill Drac, as I said before I've only just installed Wings and have yet to use it so I reckon this will be a good place to start. BTW, if you're zipping it can I have it too please? 8) Catlin

catlin_mc ( ) posted Mon, 29 December 2003 at 6:16 PM

I've figured it out, I don't need it zipped I just saved the printed verion as a mht, so now I have it all. 8) I also had a look at the last page and I feel I've seen that humanoid robot before, it looks strangely like you Drac. lol 8) Catlin

Zhann ( ) posted Mon, 29 December 2003 at 7:48 PM

An mht file is when you go to save a web page, in the save as type box, it's the 2nd one down. It means it saves web pages as a single file that contains all the info in one file. 8) Catlin

Great tut Drac, I definitely nicked a few tricks from your text and your pics. Nicely put-together, and instructive.
