Subject: alpha channel question

caron ( ) posted Tue, 30 December 2003 at 1:53 PM · edited Wed, 08 January 2025 at 4:13 PM

I want to save an image with an alpha channel in the targa file format, but I can't figure out how to do it. Even if I save the targa as a 32 bit image, the alpha channel is lost when I reopen the file in photoshop. Any info on this would be welcome.

The only thing I could test (short-term) that is does work in RGB mode and not in CMYK mode, and maybe greyscale does not do the trick. Hope it helps.
