If you've been seeing all the pictures and postings about Shazam but have been holding back on getting your own copy, here's your chance to try out the Shazam look and appeal for yourself. Wow, that was fast Sharen, I didn't even get a chance to make the announcement at other forum sites :) You're correct - if you already have a copy of Shazam you don't 'need' this since you have the V1 and V2 versions with all the extra morphs, etc. This LowRes versions was originally part of the full pack, but DAZ suggested splitting it out so it could be offered as a freebee item. Even if you have Shaz though, it could be useful for crowd scenes and such. Besides, when did 'needing' something ever stop people from downloading it? :) And for people who haven't seen the Shazam character yet, I guess I should have included this link to the Shazam User Gallery

I downloaded Shazam LowRes model and then read I needed vickie Low Res to make her work, which Daz gave away free - is there anyway of getting this figure now as I dont have her????

Glad to hear it Jade! :) Engel47: DAZ regularly uses the LowRes models as freebees for promotional CD's etc. I really don't know the exact current status on getting her at the moment, so you'd have to contact DAZ directly.

Just an FYI: I went into the forum to download Shazam (very cool BTW) and ended up installing this evil hell spawn thing called GAIN. Be careful! It slowed my computer way down and started popping up browsers with adds all over the place. If it wants to install on your system TELL IT NO! It is evil. BTW: It is not a DAZ thing. It is software from some other company. Very poopy. Thank you DAZ for the Shazam Low Res. Very cool! Cheers, Joe

Low Res Vicki also came free with Mimic 2, if I remember rightly. And did she and Mike come with Daz Studio - mine has Egyptian Vicki & Mike, which I assume use Low res (haven't checked) or else what do non Vicki owners see?

Ah - I have DazStudo beta but not installed yet. I will give that a try. Thanks for the hint. I have also asked Daz if they are likely to be offering her again for non Low Res owners to make use of this offer.

Just FYI, D|S comes with Egyptian Mike & Vickie in Daz's native format, *.daz. Unless someone can tell me differently, that version isn't for Poser. (which is unfortunate, because I don't have all that Egyptian stuff for Poser)

Hi pokeydots: the Michael version is definately coming :) I have to let these things run their course though, and X-Mas got things off schedule a bit. But he's up and working and I'm just looking at morph targets at the moment.

If you click on to see the gallery at Daz for the Shazam, thats when the Pop up comes in and I had to get of the internet and run AD awear even thought I tried clicking NO. I will pass on this whole thing.

I didn't get a pop-up... weird.

When a pop-up appears NEVER "click" ANYTHING else than the little "x" in the upper right corner of the pop-up window, if there is an "x". Otherwise try "alt+F4" or close IE from the task manager.

No popup with Netscape7 on my end.

as far as Vickie Lo-res (v-lo..;), she's been offered in back issues of Digit, 3d World, Computer Art, do a search for their web sites, and you should be able to get them that way (btw, one of them had Mike Lo-res (milo..;) as well. Daz had V-lo as a freebie for about a week, then poof she was gone..;)
