Subject: Unfortunately, I'm stepping down as Mod.

Boy, this is really hard to write! I've been away from Rendie for several days as I thought this over, to be sure of my decision.

The past few months I haven't had as much time or energy to give to this forum as you all deserve, and with some personal things going on (thankfully, not all of them bad), I know that won't change in the near future so I gave my resignation to the Admins a few minutes ago.

To quell the rumor mill: I wasn't asked to step down, I'm not resigning after learning of some hideous, heinous Renderosity plot to enslave the world, etc.

This isn't a good-bye; I'll still be wandering around here, perhaps even a bit more than before as I won't be doing any behind-the-scenes work. I just won't have as much run of the place.

Oh the plus side, I have written 11 pages in the last week which I'm generally happy with, I have stories ideas coming out my ears, and I'm involved in a small freelance writing project (for pay, even!) I hope this will finally be the year I get some of my novels finished, perhaps even submitted for publication.

Thanks for understanding,

Cres

I'll miss seeing your name at the top of the page, but I hope some of the plus side will be seeing more of your work in the forum :-) I hope your small for pay project (good for you) is the first of many this year and that you get to do all you wish to do in 2004. Shanna :-) Wonders...does that mean I can have ALL the chocolate now?

Wonders...does that mean I can have ALL the chocolate now? Burp All gone. ;-)

Ah, Crescent, I understand completely but I'm sorry to see you step down. But congratulations on the writing! Maybe you'll find your way to finish your trilogy (a trilogy...I am awed by that project). Shanna, I have some extra chocolate. I'll toss you over a few bites over Crescent's head. I really appreciate the job you've done for us. Thank you so much, Crescent!

So long Crescent...I know I haven't been around much still getting used to all the feldergarb other ISPs put you through but I'll hope to hear from you when I do venture over.

I'd say that's too bad, except you've got to do what makes sense to you. Still, sorry to see you go. But hope it frees up enough time for you to finish off the trilogy and handle all the other pans in the fire I'm sure you've got going. And I do hope to see you around here, both posting your stuff and critiquing mine. I'm selfish that way. Good luck in all that you do and have a great 2004! jon

I'm most sorry to see you go, myself Crescent. I don't post often here, but visit a lot, and you've always kept my spirits up when the words have been too faint to hear. I better not start missing you, though, and I'll track you down elsewhere, too! big chocolate hug, and side of hot chocolate to boot Good luck, and know that I came today to post good news just so I could share it with you.

Cres I shall miss you SOOOoooOOoooo much - Yeah, I know you will still be around the forums, but - I shall still miss you terribly as a moderator!

You were always there for the members and for other mods - and you will be missed greatly.

I also am rather envious of the extra time you will have for writing - I am also very exited that you have finished 11 pages - Waaaaaaaaay 2 GO!

I can hardly wait until you are rich and famous, so we can all sit back in the writer's Forum and talk about the times of "we knew her when." :)

We are going to keep you to your promise of posting to the Writer's Forum and Gallery - so be prepared for emails if you ever appear MIA :)

Huge Hugs - [I know - you HATE that mushy stuff]
Dee-Marie

Very sad to hear this news, but on the other hand glad to see you are following good leads. Hope to see you around the forums every once in a while. Have a blast! Ian

Sorry to hear that Cres. Best wishes. Glad you'll still be around.

I just read the good news at the Daz Platinum Club forum. Our loss is their good fortune. I hope you enjoy your new "gig" thoroughly...but don't stop writing those novels!!
