some types of hair can't comfirm to figure , I can only make victoria and michael's hair to fit mil boy or girl by using "dail x,y,z". but when I doing animation or change pose, the hair don't move along with head, How can i fix it? I know some people said that hair can be set parent to figure's head so they will move togeter, But when I select hair and try to set parent to the head, there is no option of head for me to select( in fact it show everything, camera, light, but no mil figure which i am looking for) any suggestion ? p.s. I use poser4.0.3

You can double click the hair or go to the top and click Object > Properties.

If you select the hair and do lock actor then it should work.

If the hair is a conforming figure or a figure in general. 1)Select the head group of the hair. 2)Go to Figure>Set FIgure Parent..... 3)Select the head of the human figure and click ok

If you scroll down the list of everything you should find the figure which is your mil kid (eg figure 1) and it's head will be listed there, along with it's other body parts. If there are lots of figures in your scene, you'll have to remember which figure it is, as a conforming piece of clothing would be called figure 2 or whatever as well. Shanna :-)

Which is why if anything pops up in the window as "Figure 1" I immediately select "info" and re-name it to something informative. Makes it so much easier to navigate. Old-style hair needs to be parented. Some new hair needs to be conformed. If the hair flies off, it needs to be re-attached using "conform figure" or "change figure parent." Was there not a "convert hair" utility for the Mil Kids that you download from DAZ?

thanks for all help, first of all, the hair is not conforming figure ,I can only move it by dailing the x, y z. so it can't confirm to figure's head when doing animation, second, as i mention above,if i select the hair, I can't find the head for me to set the parent(for example, if the mil figure is "figure 1", when i select the hair and go to parent setting, then i see every figures, camerca, light,... are on the list ,but no "Figure 1". samething if I set mil boy as figure 2, then I can't find figure 2 at parent setting .that is my question.

thanks, beryld I try your way and it work ;-) it work when simple double click hair object, and hit " set parent " but don't know why when I use top menu ( Figure >Set Figure Parent)and it won't work ( can't find the figure I need)

Shoshanna ( ) posted Fri, 09 January 2004 at 3:57 AM

It won't work because Figure>Set Figure Parent would only work if the hair or whatever was a figure You would need to use Object>Change Parent to use the top menu for anything that isn't a figure.
