I've downloaded a few very beautiful textures for V3, but have run into a problem! This is from the ReadMe: __________________________________ 1.) About I made this add-on texture out of a scribble drawn on paper with inks and watercolour pencils. The design is based on a dragondesign by Steve Weston. This .zip-file contains two .psd-Files with the body and head textures. Simply copy them over your favorite M3 or V3 texture after rescaling them to the appropriate size and save them under any name convenient for you. I suppose you know how to apply textures to V3 or M3, so I don't have to tell you how to do that ;-). .psd-fileformats supports partial layer transparencies so you won't have any trouble with the tattoos. The images are prepared for the texture maps of head and body so you won't have to rescale or nudge them. 2.) Files included - redqueen_head2.psd, 2500 x 1700 pixels, - redqueen_body.psd, 2500 x 3333 pixels, - a preview .jpg with the applied texture over basis texture DAZ3d Aspen vor V3, - this readme 3.) Files/ Programs needed You'll need graphic software that supports transparent .psd-files like Photoshop, GIMP or Paintshop Pro for the tattootextures, Poser 4 or higher with Victoria 3 and/ or Michael 3 to work with this. ______________________________________ I have no idea how to do this, but I'm hoping I can fumble my way through and figure it out. But, I don't have a program yet to do it. I tried to download GIMP but it seems to be broken down into pieces, and just one piece is going to take almost an hour to download (I can only connect at 28.8). Does anyone know of another free program that will allow me to do what I need to do to use these textures? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks, Ney

PhotoShop Elements comes free with a lot of consumer products such as digital cameras, graphics tablets, scanners, etc. Basically, it's Photoshop without the stuff only professional graphics artists need (color separations, etc.). Check and see if you or anyone in your family has it. It may already be on your hard drive. Or it may have arrived with a Christmas present, waiting to be installed.

If you don't have PhotoShop then GIMP would well be worth the hassel to download. A tip on getting those huge files on a lousy connection. Download the Firebird browser by Mozilla (www.mozilla.org) as it has an excellent caching function in case you loose connection and is much more stable then IE or even Netscape. It's only 6meg. Then start the download before you go to bed or before you go out to dinner. For what you want you will definatly need a program that can read Photoshop files. GIMP is good at that, I played with it for a while on Linux.

http://www.mediachance.com Realdrawpro will handle photoshop files,(plus jpg bmp etc) 30 day fulldemo available, and you get a lot of features as well, use it all the time for simple texture changes. about 10meg to download from simtel.
