Subject: WIP - opinions needed, should I scrap this or keep working?

And let me say it in the first line: IT IS GOING TO BE FREE. ok? Then.. I'm not REALLY satisfied with this sheep, but on the other hand I can't pinpoint what's wrong. Or perhaps I can: Everything :o/ I know the ears aren't finished and the mouth needs a LOT of work, but... Is anybody INTERESTED in this at all? it's not like my other characters has generated any huge interest, so perhaps I'm the only one who likes my critters? It's made with the Poser Add on Drops (python metaballs) with a little touch up in Max. Reasonable resolution so far. Moving eyes and eyelids.

it is sooo cute. I would simplify the body shape. More round and fuzzy. Never give up. Every figure teaches you something new.

She's made the U.S.Army mess-kit free over at Plan3D, no? No reason you can't pick up one at PlanIt 3D. Heck, registration is also free. It's a cool place to visit.

dialyn ( ) posted Mon, 12 January 2004 at 4:58 PM

Sorry, that's PlanIt 3D. Sigh. It's been that kind of day.

Painting over renders in Photoshop helps me sometimes. This si what I mean. I would make it rounder and keep the shapes more primitive. How you don't mind my suggestion.

Nice idea, Anton, I see what you mean. I can probably squeeze it a little more. So far I have shortened it :) btw here's what it looks like in it's "real" shape. Just like shape-shifting aliens, these Drops figures live a double life *giggle*

yes. On the profile. I would have the legs be more even in height. Raise the hips and lower the shldrs. Make the body a bit more egg-like. From the front lower the sides of the body some. I sent a pic to Moyra. SHe love cutsey animal pics. Check out this game for fun. Hours of side splitting laughter.

OK here's today's progress. I admit to have "cheated" a little on the "fluffy" department *G* but the shape is as you see it. Made a mouth and some material zones too, dumped the "donut-nostrils" also slapped a crude texure on it :o) Now comes the worst part: Grouping it, and making it poseable *sigh* I REFUSE to think about Joint parameters at this point *L*

You know, if you added horns, she'd look a little like one of those shaggy little minature goats. Still awfully cute.
