Subject: I cant apply file texture.. newbie.. HELP ? =)

HEEEEEELP!! ok.. im so glad i got so far.. but at same time I s*ck. can anyone tellme why te texture isnt applyed in the skirt of the girl.. in that little square.. i can see how it is.. but the skirt's still white?? why?? thanks for watching newbies program =)

Damn no edit buttons :(....your screen appears to be in the "work" mode..No if you render & the texture isn't there, that's a whole new thing.

hmmmm...I dont have poser 5, I have PPP. I have never seen a texture go funky like that..maybe someone who know Poser 5 can help out a bit better. Maybe you could tinker with the scaling...just a thought. In PPP....I've never had a texture go funkuy on me like that..they've always applied appropiatly. Very strange... Sorry I couldn't help with this issue:(

Actually it looks like you've applied the sweater texture to the skirt.......hmmmmmmmmmm

no.. cuz if you notice in my render image you will see in the right side of the skirt that it has the little squares of the normal skirt.. and if you notice on her sweater.. she aint got nothing.. only the normal color...

I'm lost then :( sorry...from the small pic it looks like both have somehow mixed.....I can see you don't have her top on yet...but you are able to choose individual textures to apply to each item....For example..If I buy a texture pack, let say for your skirt....you can go into materials and pick anyone you like....Does that make any sense???? I know how to do that keystroke by keystroke in PPP, but not in P5 :(

What's that pic under gradient bump???? That's whats being applied..that does not look right at all.... I'm off to bed now..must get up at 5am..USA time LOL Will check thread again tomorrow.....Good luck!!!

(this is the texture i dloaded) yeah... but i downloaded this texture from "free stuff" and they're said that was for V3. and with Cloth Pack..thats what i have.. i choose the required skirt and then loaded the texture and thats how it is now.. damns..

Just guessing, but it looks like you're applying the texture to the wrong object. Looks like a texture map for a whole dress and not just a skirt.

V3 and cloth pack. Those two words are inconstant. There are no "cloth pack" for V3 (unless you count the one PhilC made) There is a Clothes Pak for V1/V2 though, it may be what the tex is meant for. The tex you have downloaded is DEFINATELY not just for a skirt, it is for a dress, look at the llittle blots which is made to texture the neckline or something, perhaps a scarf, hard to tell without the actual piece of clothing :o)

It has to be for V2's clothing pack dress. Here's an outline of the dress's layout on texture maps.
