Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 04 4:13 pm)
Blacksteel, I had this problem with a transparency map I did, but I don't remember exactly what I did to fix it. What are your transparency sliders set at? Are they maxed out? Did you completely cover the waistline and neckline with black, and not just stop and the lines? And you used solid black, not a shade of black right? I know these are basic questions, but sometimes we have a tendency to overlook the basic when something goes wrong. If the answers to all these questions are yes, and nobody else has suggestions to help you out, I'd be glad to take a look at your maps and see if I can help you out more. Just an option. If I can help, let me know. Whisper
In Poser you also have to turn the highlight color on the texture for the Vest to black. Highlight is what makes the edges of the "invisible" parts of the mesh show up as ghost lines. This sucks if you are working with a texture you want to be shiny. You can fudge the shine by finding an appropriate reflection map. Liz Pope Dreamspinner Inc.
Whisper- My settings for the Transparency were (Highlight 42%, Trans Min 4%, Trans max 100% falloff 0.60 ) When I made this Transparency map, I used Steve cox's UV maper and Inverted the map (Color), and simply painted the black over the area's with Photoshop. I can't see any other place where the vest is not showing as a diffrent color than Black or white. It's in a RGB format should I change this to a Greyscale? Any help is apreciative. And If you would Like to look at it where could I sent it to? Blacksteel
