Are you plagued by gallery trolls? Trigger happy mods got you down? Are you chased through your dreams by cute critters and naked Vickys (with or without temple and sword)? Will one more noob asking "how do I get the clothes on my person" have you running screaming into the night? If you are plagued by the above irritants or any other cyber annoyance, relief is in sight! Introducing the new and improved Binford Port-a-Cano 3000! This portable volcano is perfect for any sort of ritual sacrifice. With its almost patented Cyber Virgin Sensor you can now be sure that your victims aren't fibbing to you. With the ability to turn off the CVS you can now use the Port-a-Cano to rid yourself of all the other online pests that make your life a misery. No longer are your victims required to be virginal and pure as the driven snow! Fine Print: You can do whatever you want with any renders you make with this. Kate

That is so funny! I wish I had one for San Diego freeways during rush hours. The advantage of this is when I blow my top, I can be literal about it!! Great idea. :)

todd71 ( ) posted Fri, 16 January 2004 at 2:37 PM

hey ive got one of those!...the big problem is finding the virgins to sacrifice in it...sigh

dialyn ( ) posted Fri, 16 January 2004 at 2:40 PM

That appears to not be a requirement for this model. A good thing, around here.

KateTheShrew ( ) posted Fri, 16 January 2004 at 2:42 PM

Yeah, Cyber virgins are tough to locate. I think we may have to build a Virgin Detector to go with the volcano. giggle

Wonderful! I just might make a Python-driven eruption for it.....

Gosh ! Does it work for spam ? I get tens of spams a day that propose me cyber "virgins" (or teens, or viagra, or "personality" extensors, or a bank loan, or a new car, or next weekend travels, or pills against baldness, or to lose weight, or Celebrex, or instant credit card, or helping a poor dictator taking his money from his bank, or various 3D software at the bargain price of a zillion dollars only, or... KA-BOOM !

Hee. It's the "cute critters" that get me. I've always secretly wished I could throw Koshini into the Crack of Doom. I don't own Koshini, though, so I settled for chucking Sara into the Port-a-Cano... ;-)

Thank you Kate, it's just what I needed, although I think it may make Bryce 5 defunct. lol 8)

When you install the script, be sure it goes in the same directory with the Porta-Cano. (The ZIP will put it there.) Read the readme for further details; not much to it except setting the start and end frames. This GIF doesn't really do justice to the explosion....

Innocence is not knowing something exists. Virtue is knowing about it, but rising above temptation. If Gandalf has driven one of these into Hobbiton rather than that ponycart, the story would have been MUCH shorter, and nobody would have died. As a master of fireworks, it would have made a nice ending to the Birthday Party if he'd stoked this baby up. Pity he was virtuous. Pity that I can only put one entry into the DAZ contest! ;^) Carolly

Ack! Where are my manners? (Even Evil OverMistresses have manners.) Kate and Ockham, thank you both. Carolly

catlin_mc ( ) posted Sat, 17 January 2004 at 1:16 AM

Ockham thiS is brilliant or it would be if I could open the page. It tells me- "this page cannot be displayed" -and I'm so sad, I want my volcano to go BOOM!! boohoo ;{ Catlin

KateTheShrew ( ) posted Sat, 17 January 2004 at 3:22 AM

Oh you guys are just way too much fun! :) Ockham I love the eruption! Randy, my brothers bent over double with laughter at your image. I'm gonna hear "but I'm so CUTE" from them for years now, darn you. :D Carolly, you're welcome. Kate

randym77 ( ) posted Sat, 17 January 2004 at 5:26 AM

Carolly, I think you're allowed three entries into the DAZ contest. If it's the "Tolkien Remembered" contest you're talking about. So go for it. evilgrin.gif

Catlin, the link works when I try it. Maybe you were just bumping into a web glitch? Did anybody else DL it properly? Also a couple of hints for usage: For more rocks, just run the script two or three times on the same start and end frame. If you want to erupt something other than rocks (e.g. water drops, virgins, or your favorite enemy) just move the Rock prop elsewhere and place the desired eruptee as a prop, under the name "rock.pp2" in the same directory. The eruptee probably needs to be a simple object, and may have to be scaled.

The links works for me. Haven't tried the script, though. I'm still kind of a newbie when it comes to animation.
