Looks like either a reflection of lights or the texture maps have a slight flaw. It can be touched up in any paint program if you have one if not move your lights just a little and see if that solves the problem. :O) Outstanding pic for your first BTW!!

Condrah ( ) posted Mon, 19 January 2004 at 12:19 AM

no.....dont even know what it do

numanoid ( ) posted Mon, 19 January 2004 at 12:23 AM

See if you can find a nice picture of a starry sky, and then import it as a background picture. It looks a bit empty in the sky, and the sky is never empty. Ten times better than my first picture.

thank you numanoid...im looking for some pictures from a 3d game...lol they are good :p

Try rendering from a differnt angle or lighting to see if those white artifacts appear. to me they look as if they are part of the texture because I can see a few white artifacts under her eyes as well. Also go to the render options and activate antialiasing to get reid of the jagged edges on the eyebrows and hair. As for other tweaks you might want to set the nostril color to dark just so her nostril don't glow and maybe pose the eyes a litte, experiment with what looks best to you. It's looking good I like the character very much :)

You did terrific on two very hard things-- the magik stuff and the wizard's robe-- very hard to pose those. Anti-alias gets rid of jaggies and that will take care of the eyelashes and make that hair look splendid. The bump might be high on the texture-- her forehead is a little rough and that might explain the white speckles. Or not.LOL Select her head and bring up the dials window, scroll down to where they have smile and frown and arch eyebrow and blink and see what you can do about giving her an expression. Doesn't take much and that along with the anti alias is the only thing missing. If shes Vicki3 you can pose the eyes by selecting each one and using updown and side to side-- with the dials. Very very good job. Your cousin gave Poser to the right person. Emily

ok what i see is that on the neck looks like you have the highlight up too high. make sure that all your values are the same throughout the body. and the eyelashes well looks like a problem with your trans. just my 2 cents Shain

HaiGan ( ) posted Mon, 19 January 2004 at 2:13 PM

It does look like antialiasing is off. From the top menu bar, select 'Render' and then 'Render Options...'. There's a little checkbox marked 'Anti-alias'. Check the box if it doesn't already have a tick in it (it's turned off by default). Now antialiasing is turned on. That should make your eyelashes and hair look more eyelashy and hairy! :)
