What started out as a little thing that was only going to take five minutes wound up taking four days. The maze is made from a scan of a regular puzzle maze. The cracks were made by drawing lines in the editor and applying erode. I rotated, made negative, and grouped. The effect looked pretty neat. I kept adding skeletons, pieces of armor, bats etc. Everytime I put something in I thought of another thing to add. I decided to stop before I went Flakish on you all. A large version has been posted to the gallery.

LOL - Flakish Thats one for the Brycean dictionary! This is looking fantastic, what a great idea and I love the additions and changes. Well worth a four day effort.

Lol.... this is cool. I had considered doing something like this many times after I watched a show called Labyrinth. Just never got around to tackeling it. There was a huge Labyrinth like this in that show. Nice work man. 8) Wade

A whiner is about as useful as a one-legged man at an arse kicking contest.

With David Bowie in it? I been there. I like the image. That only took you four days, eh? Wow. Nice image! Is that a balloon above the guy's head? What is that orange thing?

Looks fantastic! A cool and innovative use for a scanned image! How about a sign that says "NO SOLICITORS!". As though any salesperson with half-a-brain would brave that maze! Excellent work.

Rocks Blutos Frrriendds!!! Yes I loved that one too. This is a little different. The orange thing is a greek round shield. There are bits of armor and bones scattered around. It shows up better in the gallery image.

Cool. Thanks.

Flackish....hehe. I like it. Dude, we totally should have a "Brycean Dictionary" thread. That would rock! I love the rubble on the floor, it's a good detail, rather than just having the (very well done) scratches in the walls.

Love the image, nice high walls, makes you feel really small and overwhelmed. (side note) Hoggle is still one of my favorite characters of all time. Labyrinth was amazing,... now I'm gonna have to rent it,... thanks alot. ?:>P

Sweeeet! Very much like the perspective that's show in Labyrinth (movie) the first time they show it. Love that movie. AS

I like this but add some more lights in areas to give it more depth and detail.

artworksco ( ) posted Sat, 24 January 2004 at 5:39 PM

That's a good idea (Vile) I don't know how mush detail there is to see on the house, but a little lighting, (just a little) could add alot to the scene.
