Anyone want this?

I finished reinstalling Paint Shop Pro and all my plugins this morning, and since I was in an artistic mood, I created a new Posette texture in response to a request at one of the Poser Yahoo! Groups.

If anyone's interested, I can upload it to Free Stuff this weekend, after I polish it up a bit more, along with some other freebies I'm completing.

Hell yeah I want it! Please do upload it...it looks great!

VI_Knight ( ) posted Sat, 24 January 2004 at 1:59 PM

Most definitely want it.

me too

She's a real Cat's Meow!!!! Prrrrrrfect!

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Sat, 24 January 2004 at 5:18 PM

Right, then. She'll go up tomorrow.

The Sci-Fi Channel's running a dragon marathon right now (Dragonheart with Sean Connery, Dragon Fighter with Dean Cain, and Dragon Storm with John Rhys-Davies), so I won't be accomplishing anything else tonight.

Ooooh.... Trying to refrain from "Cheetarah" comments... But I liiiiiike Thundercats!! She looks great LD. I think cheetahs have the most interesting face pattern of the big cats. Is that your Bushy Tail 2.0 she's wearing?

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Sat, 24 January 2004 at 5:29 PM

Yes. I'll have some new textures/MAT poses ready for the Bushy Tail 2.0 soon.

SpottedKitty ( ) posted Sat, 24 January 2004 at 6:36 PM

Ooh, yesyesyes please! She looks spectacular! (A bit too weedy and skinny to be Brittany Diggers, though.) Time to dust off some of my Posette clothes and props and stuff...

Would that have been Mapper's Y! group, by any chance? I've been meaning to go back there for a look, but I've just been too busy with other stuff.

I'm looking forward to the Bushy Tail updates -- I've worked out a Red Panda MAT and I'm thinking about how to do a good skunk texture, among other things.

I was beginning to think I was the only one left using Posette.

Hardly. There's still some life remaining in these older figures. I'm also the sort who uses underappreciated figures like Don, Judy, and the P5 children.

I don't particularly care for Posette's mapping. I prefer to work with Victoria 3's templates, which I can easily convert to V1/V2/Michael with Dark_Whisper's UTC utility.

I'll probably adapt this texture to Lemurtek's Tobi and Guenevere figures, later.

A bit too weedy and skinny to be Brittany Diggers, though.

I might recommend REMC's Athletic Woman character for Posette, if you have it. That should provide more than enough bulk for a digital clone of Ms. Diggers.

I have a soft spot for Ninja High School, myself, although Gold Digger is quite good, also.

Actually, it was at the new AnthroPoser Yahoo! Group. The older AnthroPoser site has essentially been abandoned and overrun by spammers.

I've worked out a Red Panda MAT and I'm thinking about how to do a good skunk texture ....

There's no easy way to do a skunk tail with the current mapping. One of the upcoming updates will include a UVS file which can remap the tail for lengthwise stripes.

Looks great, LD, as your "cats" usually do!

Hmm... what's this Athletic Woman character? I don't think I've heard of her?

"I have a soft spot for Ninja High School, myself, although Gold Digger is quite good, also."

All right, now you've got me thinking about a nice Salusian body texture... =) Shouldn't be too hard to tweak Vicky's fox and cat head morphs to get the face right.

"There's no easy way to do a skunk tail with the current mapping. One of the upcoming updates will include a UVS file which can remap the tail for lengthwise stripes."

In that case, my original idea might not have worked -- I was thinking about separate textures for the (scaled-up) mid-tail stripes and the narrower tail-tip where the stripes come together. The more I think about it, though, the more it seems like far too much work...

Sudden second thought -- any suggestions on how to set up a patchy pattern, like a snow leopard's "spots and stripes" tail?

Count me in on that want list !!!!! :)

It's a heavily-muscled and toned full-body morph for Posette, by REMC of Third Eye Function. Unfortunately, his site appears to be down.

Use the grouping tool to assign new material groups. That's how I created the lengthwise stripes.

Dragonheart hu? That reminds me, I haven't watched Dragonheart II in a long time. Think it'll be a good late night movie to go to bed to tonight, and dream of CheetaWomen! ;p

Very cool, LD! Regards- Lemurtek

Great!

hauksdottir ( ) posted Sun, 25 January 2004 at 4:33 AM

Interesting. I think white or black hair would suit her better though... more dramatic. ;) Carolly

xantor ( ) posted Sun, 25 January 2004 at 7:14 AM

I like the hair colour the way it is. It looks like a big cat colour. Can`t you just load the hair texture into a drawing program and fiddle with it to make the hair white or black?

hauksdottir ( ) posted Sun, 25 January 2004 at 9:02 AM

Of course. :) I just did with another hair. It was already white, but not pure white.

OK, thanks. Anyone have a URL, so I can put it on my ever-lengthening "watch out for" list?

Grr, aargh. ( Joss Whedon) I've tried, but I just haven't managed to wrap my brain around that Grouping tool yet. One of these days...

I think these are the current sites; it moved around a bit after the 3D Comic Collective changed to Animotions.

Bryde ( ) posted Mon, 26 January 2004 at 2:38 AM

Unfortunately Third Eye Function is closed now. He doesn't have a computer any more and not enough money to buy a new one...there used to be great free content and it's a great loss for the community.

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Mon, 26 January 2004 at 7:13 PM

Approved and now available:

Little_Dragon's Free Stuff

Changes include minor tweaks to the eyes and feet, and pads on the hands. Unlike my Millennium Catwoman textures, I couldn't add footpads due to Posette's limited mapping. I've also cleaned up some of the seams, but it's far from perfect.

Expect versions for Lemurtek's Tobi and Guenevere in the next week.
