Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 09 3:46 am)
Huh? There's Farah (RMP), Julie (free) and yet another free char who's nem escapes me now. Ya want endless free versatilty? Never gonna happen. Grab ye Steph Classic while you can. Wears all V1/V2 clothes, otherwise, pretty much impossible to tell you what will be popular in 12 months.
Coppula eam se non posit acceptera jocularum.
Huh? There were dozens of Japanese P4 female characters alone! (Ken1, Hack Worthless, Frank Paris, etc.) Renapd made many, many characters complete with hair and clothing. Duane Moody has how many morphed character faces for her? Sharkey has some exotic spacey amazonian ones with full costumes. Ghastley has Elvira-vamp type characters (since you mentioned Posetta Peaks, you are perhaps concentrating upon boobs). Nerd has characters and "impractical" clothing. PhilC has characters.... How many characters do you want? Carolly
One of the big faults I find with all Micheal & Victoria's incarnations is the fixed cheekbones. Using the Native american setting moves them some, and I think there's one dial that moved the cheekbones in or out - but other than that, nada. I think that's why, fundamentally, it's really hard to make a Vicky that does not look remarkably like every other Vicky. I was trying to model a specific character from Star Trek last year that has really high cheekbones and had to give up. How are Don and Judy in that regard? Can the face room handle those kinds of variations?

Hi Ethesis, I found that link for you. There is a lot of cool stuff there. Many great Japanese Poser artists are neglected because of the language, but I read the mouseovers and can usually navigate the most confusing sites and find the freebies. http://www.juno.dti.ne.jp/~yamato-k/My problem with Judy is lack of free 3rd party body morphs --what I love about poser is that old body hacking... but those days are gone. My own P4 morphs sites are gone due to getting bumped from too many hosts... I have a full body morph and facial morph female P4 in the marketplace for $8 I think... mainly so they would have a server. Have not recieved complaints... but I won't swear it is worth the money? Who knows. requires Tailer or those free fat clothes magnets for woredrobe though. I wish there was more body work for Judy but I have not had the chance to deal with it... I keep hoping someone else will! I don't have the cash for any of the neat Marketplace stuff these days myself :(
Frankly with the focus on the Mils, poor Judy has been left out in the cold. Doesn't help that her face is ... unfortunate. I'm finally finishing up my Judy body morphs .. her butt is just terrible to work with! I'll have one FBM for free, but alas, the complete set will be in the marketplace. I only kept some of my magnets though .. I have tried Tailoring the p5 clothing and it works nicely. Hidden Morphs for Poser5 Characters In the face room, over in the bottom right corner is the "face shaping tool" window or somehting like that. In there you can find lists of morph targets for various parts of the face. Many of these are NOT in the main morph screen ..this is where they hid all the face sculpting stuff. Would have been nice if they'd mentioned that rolls eyes Also note: when you've made a face that makes you happy just SPAWN the morph. Then turn it on in the pose room by hand. If you use Apply, its impossibel to remove from the Pose room with no dial for it. Charming, no?

Sure, there is the discontinued Posetta Peaks, but for the most part there weren't too many characters based off of the P3 and P4 female figures. Poser did a lot of work to upgrade for P5. Was it enough?
