last week i received an e-mail complimenting me on the Poser site i'm building.....it was suggested that i post one of the images there for the Renderosity community to see.....normally i'm pretty paranoid about things like that, especially when i do that 1 in a 1000 image that i'm really happy with and can honestly say i like......but just the same, here it is.......it's the image that takes you to the as-yet-undeveloped textures page.......creative advice and criticism is welcome......

hmmmmm....define "realization", just so that i know we're on the same page......... and the URL, which can be seen but not downloaded from at present, is www.geocities.com/scars_and_blackroses ......thanks for taking the time to look at this, and for the compliments and/or criticism...........

The concept and idea for this image are fantastic as well as original. I agree with Nesterenko about realization. A better blend around the skins is needed. Nice website too.

Sorry Nesteranko(thanks for all the clothes!) and Xurge. This image is perfect The sharp defined wireframe of Posette versus what you call lack of "realization" of the skins. A most excellent juxtaposition. I see it as the skins become 'realized' when placed on the wire frame female. When together you get what you are seeking: Realization. dlfuman-NeoArtCritic for NeoCritical Times :)

Great artwork.. but I'm curious.. ermmm... how'd ye get the wireframe image? is it a combo tex/trans? Cheers and thanks, Wizzard

TheWolfWithin ( ) posted Thu, 07 September 2000 at 11:21 AM

thanks again and again, peoples....aaaaand Wizzard....i posed my female, switched the display type to wireframe, set the background color to black, then exported the image (File, Export, Image)...then i did the "closet o' skins", exported it, then opened up Paint Shop Pro and cloned the two onto a larger black image......not that big a deal really.......and as to realization, the edges of the "skins" look that way, i now realize, because i completely flattened a textured Posette for each one, and didn't change the lighting, so you get the lit edges that look a bit off......things always become clear to me in hindsight......that's why it takes me so long to get a website up and running.......hehehe......
