Hi. I'm new to the Forum and very new to Poser. Just installed Poser4 and some Zygot goodies. My question is can someone tell me how to apply the Victoria Bikini from 3DGrafx on a model? I followed the instructions from P4 user guide about render options/material,texture map etc, but when I render the texture shows all over the body on a erratic maner. I'm definetly off the mark. Cn someone please help? TIA

Victoria's Bikini won't fit Posette in it's default mode. You have to size it down and adjust it. Now, as to the texture, Bring in the P4 Female in her default. Click the Render option at the top of the interface, and choose "materials". Your list of textures and materials will pop open. Make sure you have Figure 1 as the model your texturing. It's up there top left in the Object Info. Now, straight to the right of it, is your materials. Should say "skin" at first. If it doesn't, open it, find "skin", click it,then go to the left of the dialogue box and halfway down to your "Texture Map" Click on the "Load" box beside it, and there you will search for the P4NudeWoman Texture. It's in Poser4 Textures inside the Texture folder of Poser. Choose that texture, and check the box that says, "Texture Changes Apply to Entire Figure" The texture should wrap around the model now. You can customize the skintones and put other textures on different body parts by unchecking it. But that should place the texture on your model. Good luck. P.S. A P3 Texture won't fit her. It will look distorted and offcenter. Only the P4 one will work. =0

Vethril thanks for your answer. I do understand the part about the body texture, as matter of fact I have created some texturtes of my own in photoshop from scanned pictures and so on that look very real. I also know that the body texture for P4 and P3 models are diferent layouts. I even have modified Anton's photo textures to fit a P3 model character. That part I got ok. That said I go back to my original questin about the bikini on the model?? Thanks!

jsj, If it's a "poseable clothing" select the bikini and conform to... if a prop... align it as best ye can. the parent to an appropriate body part.... as an example.. let's say the bikini's figure 3 and the main figure figure 1 you'd select Figure 3 then select "conform to:" then choose figure 1 ... Ta Da.. the bikini's placed and moves with the figure... if a prop... align.. then double click on it.. click on the "set parent" then select the body part.. hip for the bottoms chest for the top... this aid any? Cheers

the Victoria Bikini is a Texture map for the model "Victoria Bikini". You must have the Victoria figure and the clothing set for her to use this texture. Hope that helps Chris PS: You can get Victoria at Zygote Store

Well fellows thanks for the hints. I do have Victoria but not the clothing set. Therefore I can relate the question to a diferent model... let's say Nene from Yamato beautiful character by the way), Yamato has made this outfit the file name is Bodytightsmesh2.tif, a huge 2000x2000, 3.8mb all white mesh. So how do I dress Nene on that? BTW thank you all so much for being so patient.

This texture and transparency map are for the P4 leotard dress. Load Nene, add the leotard as new figure, conform it to Nene. Apply Yamato's maps to the leotard (Look the L2settings.jpg in the zipfile), and you are done... Hope it helps
