Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 20 7:34 am)
When you add to library, is the figure in your scene being corrupted, or is it the image in the library that is becoming strange? Can you bring back a figure once you've saved it, or is it all distorted/pieces missing when you bring it in from the library? It's unusual for an RSR file to fail on creation (although I've had one or two become corrupt after I've used them a couple of times). Try saving a figure into your library, then immediately go into the directory and change the properties of the RSR to "read only". Then try bringing the figure back into Poser in a new scene. If it comes in OK, then there is something corrupting the files while they are on your HDD (although I'm not sure what). If the figure is still corrupt when you bring it back in, there is something wrong with Poser. The best bet there would be to re-install in case something got corrupted when you originally installed Poser. Hope this helps Paul
I wonder if fcanepa means that the images that you get when save a figure or pose differ to the default library images that come with poser, ie the neutral beige background that are included with poser becomes the current clour/background of the window the figure pose was made in? If so I just drag the eyedropper tool over to one of the original library image and use that for my background colour it's not an exact match but it's close and that way the library images look more uniform. hi again, the image problem is that you cant see anything ... its like a white image with some color lines across..... My problem start after i have re-installed Windows98... then i re-install poser4 and i found this problem. I've re-installed a lot of times and i always get the same result. I would like to show you some of the images, but i don't know how to attach an image to this message?
heyas; i know! i had that happen too! you like save to the library, and get a half or 1/4 picture of the figure, and some black lines with diagonal scan lines or noise or something on it? um... actually, i dont remember how i fixed that... but did you have the joint editor window open at the time? it happened to me when i was doing jp's, and saving and re-saving the figure each time i got a piece done. after i got the 118 patch, it seemed to clear up. did you patch your poser? or just try closing all the poser ancillary windows before saving the figure.
