Hi there, i have a question, since im new on psoer might be an easy one for u guys. i want to render a figure, for example a sword. (i just want the still image, no animation nor anything) so i just click render and the result pic is all black. then i though i shd add mooore lights, besides those that r for default. i checked they were ON and with the right intensity and color. so i click render, and the image is still black... whats going on? well, also, during the installation an error ocurred, the file 25000_parameter6.psd was wrong or something, i did ignore and the installation conitnued and finished correctly, besides that incident. i wonder if that file has something to do with the black render problem. if not, does that file help me in something or is ok if i continue the way im working, i tried to reinstall but the file keeps telling me the same error. thanks in advance!!

Hi kazuki

I tryed moving the 25000_parameter6.psd file out of my poser directory, started the program, loaded a prop and rendered. It came out fine so thats probably not it.
(I'm not sure what the file is for)

Are you getting completely black renders all the time or just with one figure?

well, also, i tried to search for that file, but i cant find it, maybe it wasnt copied to the HDD on the installation. u got the same problem before?

No, I've not had the problem myself, I temporarily removed the file from my install to see if made any difference to rendering.
It should be in the /runtime/ui directory.

The only other thing I can suggest is installing the latest patch if you haven?t done so already, you can find it through the link at the top of the forum.

If that doesn?t work I?m out of ideas and you?ll have to wait for someone who knows more about it.

I should use the preview before I post, thats an odd formating error in my last post. Oh well.

Anyway, Poser 5 didn't agree with a lot of PCs when it was first released. You could try searching the forum to see if anyone has had similar problems.
