Subject: Looking for p5 chrome mat for Axe...

I looked around did not see any, I could do this in poser 5 and mess with the reflective settings and stuf but that could take me awhile. Anyone have a mat file pose or p5 chrome shader or know where I can get one for this Axe?

Try this. Worked for me.

Oh, the 95% he talks about in the tutorial for Poser 4 translates as 0.166 in Poser 5. I think. Me not too sure.

How does this look? Rendered in Firefly with the SilverRefl.pct reflection map included in Poser 5.

That's good looking chrome mat, Little_Dragon. Cool barbarian character by the way. He looks like Glenn Danzig. ;)

Here how it cam ou on the Axe, Still was hoping it would look more like metel though, I know the chrome map is really god on the sphere nt the Axe is not reflecting well with it, I think maybe because the axe is flat?

9I used the texture, thanks, but is this the best chrome effect I can get on a flat surface?

Try a second spotlight, grey, at low power on the axe itself, it helps a bit to improve the reflection. Make is shine from right bottom, from the front.

To make it look a little more like raw metal you might want to make an image with some noise, then blur it, then play with it in the diffuse color, or maybe the displacement and/or reflection value, but no noise (and higher reflection value) where the cutting edge of the blade is so that is smooth and highly reflective.
