Attached Link: WIP 72' Yacht Images

file_96898.jpg

Our new 72' Luxury Yacht is getting closer to completion but we don't yet have a name for it. So... we thought it might be fun to have you come up with a name for us in this little unofficial contest. The rules are simple, just come up with a clever name for this model, and the winner owns it. The approximate launch date (when the model will be done) is 02/14/04. At that time, we will choose a winning name (from your entries) and send this boat on her maiden voyage to some clever winner.

Please know that the images (link provided) are WIP and that we have a lot more "bells and whistles" to add yet before we're done. These items include the flying (exterior) bridge, a dinghy, lifesavers, ropes, cleats, and other exterior finish work. Interior shots do not show our interior pilot house (bridge), engine room, nor do they have all of the furnishings and detail work we plan to add to the interior.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  1. 1 Submission Per Person Please
  2. Post Your Entry (Boat Name) HERE on the Renderosity PSF

We look forward to seeing how YOUR Imagination Works! ;) Have FUN and GOOD LUCK!

Im shoving off now.
Cheers!
Pam

The preview look great! I would name it ARIEL... like the little mermaid. Will it be priced in the same range as the Boeing business Jet?

She's beautiful! How about 'Valentines Swell'?

She's a fine one! "Dawn Treader" (a la C.S. Lewis). I always wanted a boat by that name -- a model is probably as close as I'll ever come.

"The Minnow" - looks like the kind of boat the Howells would hire for a 3-hour tour that held enough clothes for 5 years on an island :-)

Saratoga - I think there was a Presidential yacht by that name. If there wasn't, I think it's a good ship-py name!

sandoppe ( ) posted Wed, 04 February 2004 at 3:46 PM

Nice model! I think I will go with "The Caroline". Named after a similar looking vessel owned by one of my favorite presidents :)

estherau ( ) posted Wed, 04 February 2004 at 4:52 PM

Hi, I love the model. It's supurb! Well I thin it has to be called "Escape". that's what we all do when we go into poser world anyway. And that's what you could do if you had a boat like this. Love esther

MY ONLINE COMIC IS NOW LIVE

WOW is this a great model or what? How about Resop's Fable? Resop is Poser spelled backwards ;0

pizazz ( ) posted Wed, 04 February 2004 at 6:27 PM

Considering the creators - got to be "Imagine's Legacy"

ronstuff ( ) posted Wed, 04 February 2004 at 6:48 PM

hey, thats a great one pizazz! Or how about just plain Imagine? I can just see it now in a fancy script written on the stern... as she sails into the sunset. LOL! I know I only get ONE try that I already used up, but this is really a variation on pizazz's idea, so I hope one of em wins.

ronstuff ( ) posted Wed, 04 February 2004 at 7:00 PM

I also like these variations, Imagination and Just Imagine.

judith ( ) posted Wed, 04 February 2004 at 10:11 PM

Well, I replied to Pam's e-mail with this one and no one's submitted it yet so... How about "Ladies and Gentlemen"? Having just watched the movie "And Now... Ladies and Gentlemen", it's the only thing that keeps coming to mind, though "Ladies and Gentlemen" wasn't a yacht. :)

What we do in life, echoes in eternity.

Only ONE suggestion? sigh...ok, if I can only submit ONE...I guess it would have to be....hmmmm... "Siren's Kiss" Capturing the spirit of the ocean's call, and adds a touch of romance for your release date. :-) Looks great Pam!

Too cool, Pam and Tom! This model, along with every other one you did/do is just "terrific"! I am not really good at naming things....but for some reason........the name "Jezelbel" is sticking to my head? LOL! What-ever the name you choose, it is a beautiful boat....regardless, as to what you "name" it.(:
