Thanks, millman, but in this case I'm not thinking about asymmetry, more about (viewer) eye-deflection. I suspect that the empty space is an area where the viewer can just get lost and then the eyes wander off to something more interesting (quite probably in another image). As I said, I tried to get a poser cat in there (squatting, looking up at her face) but just couldn't get it to work. (* sigh *) But I'll plough on... I only posted it as an example of why I don't post.. (if that's not a contradiction in terms..)

What is it about the issue of nudity that makes people on both sides of this "argument" so incomprehensibly silly? If you suggest that perhaps folks might do a little more than insert Vicky A and Pose B and light set up C and latest, greatest Prop D and then hit "render", you're accused of being a prude, and folks start posting dim-witted "cartoons" involving nuns, as if that said anything worthwhile. But when you have people rather baldly writing how lazy they are to bother learning how to make conforming clothing work, then you start to wonder how much of this really is "art" and how much is just jack-off pictures, as Jettboy states. And when you have the tired line about "nudity in art throughout the centuries", you start to wonder how much people really know about the history of art. Face it: this place isn't about the art. It's about pretty pictures of usually naked women, but that's about as much "art" as those tired paintings you see in motel rooms. You want to create art? GET YOUR DAMN PIECE TO SAY SOMETHING. Make it communicate. Otherwise, it's just an interesting study and nothing more. Just my two cents, as if anyone will bother...

LOL Sean!! Just as an aside, much of the work by Fragonard ("Girl on a Swing" springs to mind) was created for the tittilation of his rich patrons (in "Girl on a Swing" you can ALMOST see a little way up her skirt..), yet now many of his works hang in art galleries. Maybe in about 150-300 years time some of our effeorts will hang there too. :-)) Cheers, Diolma

Actually - I never perceived this to be about nudity per s but about click and render. But I'd hereby like to invite people on both sides of the debate to help me set up the "rendo nekkid-in-art" drinking game rules: 1) - See art through the ages involves nudity once in a thread - have a sip of beer 2) - See Michaelangelo named in the above - half a bottle of beer 3) See Both the above and nudity is normal - one bottle of beer 4) see all of the above in one post: two bottles of beer 5)See variations on the above involving " I am no prude, but:" Two bottles of beer and a shot of tequila 6) See "Nudity is normal in Europe" two bottles of beer and three shots of tequila (Hey, up here we even fuck polar bears in the street;-)!) 7) American double standards - scew the beer and hit the tequila 8) Nazis, Gestapo and Hitler: Tequila and Absinthe 9) Legume gets dragged up - Support your local dealer after you're partaken of #9 10) Admin or mod moves thread: naptime 11) Admin or mod locks thread: Go back to #1 to cure hangover, make a new post, and start again. I'll post this in the Poser forum, at my "home-site" and in the VT, so we can all play ;-) ~S

@53 lol Nudity/porn/is it art/does it matter and WHO CARES? Sorry to shout but..Ay caramba! Kids will make big busty nude images..fine. Some adults do as well. If it makes people happy then I say..'Good luck to them'. This here 3D art is relatively new to me. Since the dawn of time I've used pencil, brushes, acrylics, oils, watercolours and other media. I've seen lots of kid's artwork and I never feel a need to accuse them of being childish or bad artists because the point is that they are kids. Try doing a sexy but not too obvious image..can be tricky to get right. I blame all you Vickie addicts..try using some morphs you lazy swine!! ;) Why, when I was a lad we had to make our own morphs from old scraps of wood..kids today, they don't know they're born, we were too poor to afford 3D, our dad could only get us some really cheap 1D software..ahh, times were 'ard I'll have to go as the nurse has come in with a nice new jacket for me....

Cheryl you're a freak...a glorious wonderful freak-love kitties and that put a big smile on my face;)Now,lets get back to ynsaens mammaries shall we...just how good are those beauties!!!? I agree that this guy should keep his mouth shut, but we also have to remember that sometimes its the artists who have the thin skin and go on a rant.I've encountered two so far that I liked and who went on benders because I made friendly banter while complimenting their works.Nothing insulting mind you, they just didn't want it said...but guys I ask you,if someone develops a friendly repoir with another person and wants to express that in the comment, whats wrong with it if its not an insult!!I love people to do more than say nice pic...if you can't figure out something other than that, then add "hey Armor, how's it going with your mom" or "bet you were horny as hell when you made that one"...better than "nice pic" lol!!!

If the end goal of learning is genius...why are most geniuses failures at learning?
