E-on Software Announces Mover 5

ADDS DYNAMIC POSER 5 EFFECTS; FREE UPGRADE FOR MOVER 4 OWNERS

February 9, 2004. Beaverton, OR. E-on software, makers of the industry leading natural scenery environments Vue dEsprit 4 and Vue 4 Professional, announces the availability of Mover 5, the most popular tool for hosting native format Curious Labs Poser 5 content.

Curious Labs Poser 5 includes some amazing new technologies that are the delight of character artists and animators. Making that new functionality available to e-on software for integration into our products will result in a combined solution that will allow artists to create and animate complex human and natural scenes in minutes, said Nicholas Phelps, president of e-on software.

With the inclusion of the new technology, Vue dEsprit 4 and Vue 4 Professional can import complete Poser 4 and Poser 5 animation, including specialty features in Poser 5 such as dynamic cloth and hair. Mover 5 supports anisotropic reflections to provide natural lighting of hair.

"Vue and Mover 5 provides Poser 5 users with the best way to leverage rich human animation in a lush, dynamic, natural setting. The natural motion of cloth and hair on the human form have found the perfect environment with windswept forests and animated skies," said Marc Keohane, President of Curious Labs.

Mover 5 for Windows and Mac OS X expands on the already powerful animation in e-on softwares Vue dEsprit 4 and Vue 4 Professional, allowing for inclusion of fully animated digital characters, enhanced, new motion effects, and network rendering.

Mover 4 is available for $99 and requires Poser 4 for Poser animation import and use of Poser models. Purchasers of Mover 4 will get a free downloadable upgrade to Mover 5.

But why US/Canada 99$ and Europe 104 = 132.32$ ?

Lynn ( ) posted Mon, 09 February 2004 at 1:00 PM

You'll have to discuss with our European office. We let'em set the price there, just like we let our partner in Japan set the Japanese yen price. Keep in mind though that software isnt priced on a daily market like fish. They have to account for fluctuations and standardized local costs that dont impact us here in the US. Best regards, Lynn Fredricks e-on software

Um excuse me, but I don't know if I own mover 4 as I can't find it, although I did buy poser 4 in the early days and it can animate. However I don't do animations only stills. And I'll be disappointed if eon doesn't develop a way to import dynamic hair and clothes into vue pro, as I'm sure they promised they were going to make poser 5 and vue pro compatable and try and fix those problems, and I didn't think I'd need to buy a whole another software. Very worried. Love esther
