Subject: New Photo Magazine.....

I've picked up the last two copies of a new photography magazine called Digital PhotoPro... I thought I'd mention it here because I like it, and thought some of you if you hadn't seen it at your newstand yet might be interested in it. Beautiful thick glossy paper... excellent articles. January/February issue has reviews of some of the newest DSLR's including the Nikon D2H, Olympus E-1. An article on RAW file workflow, highlights on portfolios of Douglas Kirkland and Doug Menuez.... my God beautiful work... and more, more, more. Can't wait to curl up with a cup of hot chocolate and start reading....

Forgot the link..... not much of a website yet... but here it is anyway... it's from the same publishers as PC Photo Magazine.

'chelle - Yea, I like this magazine. It reminds me a lot of British photography magazines (which usually blow American ones away). As you said, very nice paper and good articles. I've been getting it since the first issue (it premiered with the Sept/Oct 2003 issue). -=>Donald

I know I missed those, and I had blown off an offer for a charter subscription, because I already subscribe to 4 different photo magazines already... Time to let at least a couple expire...

Danob - Yea, we get quite a few of the UK photo magazines in book/magazine stores here. There is one that is my favorite magazine; I just love it. It just clicks with me. It's called "Photographty Monthly". I want to say it's published by Archer Specialist, but I think it may be something weird like Arcant or Archant (don't have a copy with me now) instead of Archer. Digital PhotoPro reminds me of Photography Monthly. -=>Donald

I agree Donald most of the new ones also have the benefit of video tutorials and Photoshop techniques they seem to be improving all the time.. Mind you I love the old ones too like Amateur Photographer which I have subscribed to for 20 years Danny
