Thanks for the replys, unfortunately those wont work for me. They are close but for this particular project I need one that looks exactly like the pics. I think I could build most of it but my modeling skills are limited right now and I dont know how to make a blade like that. Thanks for the help though, I really do appreciate it.
Why not ask if anyone in the modeling forum could help you. You could start with the Wings forum, lot's of nice people there. Building that plow is no big deal, what probably takes most of the time is to texture it but if you can do that yourself I think that you could get some help with the rest. I might even help you myself. ;) If you could find an image showing the other side of the plow it would probably help as I don't think that the blade is symetrical.
I use Lightwave and might try modelling your plough/plow, just to get some experience - it always helps when you have a specific goal, if you know what I mean. Sandbox tuts are good and all, but there's nothing like the real thing, IMHO.
Post more reference images and I'll give it a go, just for the heck of it...you might even get a few to pick from if HellBorn and others do the same.. :)

WOW, thanks for the responses, forum hints and offers to help! I came back thinking the thread was a lost cause and find out otherwise.I can do the texturing on the model no problem, in fact I really like doing that part anyway. But I am just learning modeling and dont have enough skills and knowledge yet to tackle this one.
What I am doing is a fine art piece for a series of prints based on images of the heartland. One of them is an old farm scene with this plow stuck and forgotten in a field, all rusty and old looking.
I can try and find some more pics this weekend and post them. From what I have seen the blade is the same on the other side, the whole thing is one piece and joined at the front then sweeps back into a "V" shape. I'll try and get some better pics that are not straight from the side.
If anyone is interested I have a couple of pics I have done in VuePro on my site. The site is new so not a lot on there yet.
Thanks HellBorn and MixedNut for the replies, I really appreciate the help.

The curvature of the blade may also be tricky to reproduce - it doesn't look planar. HellBorn, you're swedish, right (I'm danish)? Which modeler do you intend to use? I wonder how the scandinavian versions looked - I'm tempted to find an agricultural museum. Imagine a collection of old farming tools...hmm.
Hellborn not only am I amazed at your speed on doing this but I am really amazed at your skills!
That is incredible, I am really impressed by what you have so far. I cant say enough how grateful I am by you guys (and girls) in the Vue forum. If you cant tell, I am really excited by your model preview above.
Just for my curiosity, I was wondering what you guys( Hellborn and MixedNut) like to use for modelling? Maybe its something I need to look into and one of these day learn. I'd love to be able to do something like this.
Thanks again!
Randy
I use Lightwave - not cheap, but it can do just about anything imaginable. Wings is respected by Lightwavers and hard to beat at the price..
By the way, Randy, I think you beat the record for reference images - very nice indeed!
Unfortunately, I won't get around to modelling the plow until friday; I'm bogged down in work at the moment (damn Java servers!). Guess which thing I'd rather do..? :(
HellBorn:
Thanks for the info on Wings3D, I checked and they even have a version for Mac OS X, so I grabbed it. Free is nice too! I'll check out the forums and also look around for any beginers tutorials or guides to it and modelling.
MixedNut:
Lightwave looks really good, but for me right now, really hard. It looks like you can do all sorts of stuff in it and has a lot of third party plug-ins as well.
Heehee, I spent about 4 hours off and on looking for plow pics all over the net. I didn't think it would be that hard to find some good photos of one. I still would have liked some more closeups for you guys. Even though I can only model basic stuff like building and etc in Vue, I do know from being an artist that its nice to have as many references to the subject you are working on. So, I hope they at least helped.
Hey dont worry about getting to it, sounds like you have more important things to mess with (sometimes computers can be a pain in the....well, you know). Besides I didn't really think I'd get this far in the project. You and HellBorn are really helping me out big time.
I'm going to say this in every reply and it sounds redundant I am sure but, Thanks again guys for the effort and help! I really appreciate it.

Here are a couple of pics of what I am looking for. Has anyone seen a model like this around?
Thanks,
