x, cooler. the fingers point sideways in default pose. (cooler meant to say that!!) besides, just try each dial and see which one works! (well, it's faster than running to the forum and posting and waiting for a reply ;) ) keep in mind that when you scale the fingers out, the jp centers and stuff stay put, so the long fingers won't pose right unless you change the jp's as well.

I want to make a character with unnaturally long fingers. I haven't had any luck as yet. I know I can scale them, but they get large as well, when I just want long. Can anyone tell me which axis I should scale them on? I've never been much good with the axis thing. I know what x,y and z stand for in theory, but I've never been quite able to connect them to models that aren't aligned along those axis.
