The Ultimate Fox Bonus Pack Coming Soon! (well when I can finish ALL the types of foxes and coyotes too! :)) But I am having as much fun with this as my Wildcats, so should not be TOO long... and will be as "reasonably priced" as all my packages!

I got distracted from my Flying Duck set (still in progress, see other post) by wanting so much to do a FOX, and having so many requests for one... So I have done a major re-map (package encoded with uvmapper - uvs file provided) and morph of the Poser Wolf. I have added many more morphs that have created this fox, and will have a separate "kit" baby fox character as well!

I am also doing MAT files, and preset poses that will reside in Poser's Camera Library, all in a Runtime file structure for ease of installation! (if your like me, your Poser's Pose Library is always too full! :)

Nice. Any plans to make a similar package for the MilDog, after you finish these?

Lyne ( ) posted Wed, 11 February 2004 at 3:39 PM

Sorry the Mil dog is not morph-able at least the way I work... got very frustrated with it and had to let it go, especially with regards to it's head. At least EVERYONE HAS THE POSER WOLF as it comes with P4... so I can offer a spactacular package for a VERY reasonable price! :) OH and I forgot to add there will be an arctic fox and kits as well... I am adding more and more morphs to the "wolf" as I go too! :) Lyne

Arctic fox? :ears prick up: "Melrakka" is one of my role-playing characters... arctic fox viking sorceress. :) The name means polar fox. There is a legend that if you see a fox dancing for no good reason, it is a sorceress in disguise. ;^) Carolly

I am Beta testing the fox for Lyne and I can say, honestly, it is a great figure! Very easy to pose and the texture pops out realistically in renders! Renders of the fox will be posted fairly soon in the Vue Gallery, World Builder Gallery, and, given time, Poser & Bryce Galleries also! Very versatile little guy! I also have tried to work with the head of the Mil Dog and it is not a very cooperative animal. ;^) There are severe limitations as to which dog breeds you can even get close to realistically.

That's too bad about the MilDog ... I was hoping if anyone could give it a new morph job, it'd be Lyne. Perhaps the Cubed wolf will be more cooperative.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product, including the kits and arctic fox.

A fox! Brilliant. Another creature i wanted to have for a long time. Looks like that you read my in-brain-wishlist. Fantastic. AND, it looks super as well - what is not a surprise at all. Your maps, morphs and models are simply the best. I use them nearly in all my 3D images.

One day your ship comes in - but you're at the airport.

hauksdottir ( ) posted Thu, 12 February 2004 at 6:27 AM

What is it about the new Mildog which is making it so difficult to work with? Is it requiring an injection system for adding morphs, or are the polys just in the wrong places, or what?

Lyne ( ) posted Thu, 12 February 2004 at 8:16 PM

I really can't explain it all here (the dog morphing problem)...let's just say that the way the dog was created and it's dial system of morphs makes it very limited. :( But on the other hand, I am having great fun with the foxes! I have added eyeball-moving morphs, more ear morphs and am setting up body types for many kinds, including kits for each! :) Thank you for your kind words - all! :)

A "Heathkit" for foxes? (Sorry, bad, pun... my sleep schedule has flipped and I'm not usually starting my day this early.) But I think naming young foxes Heath and Heather would be interesting. I'll add it to my list for the sequel to Inherit the Earth: Rhene can mention baby names and we'll see if Rif is enough of a red fox to hide the blushes. ;^) Hmm... I'd better go get coffee and something for the migraine before the keyboard malfunctions. Because of your CD-only policy, I tend to stack up items on the wishlist. So now it's swans, wildcats, and foxes on the must-have list. It might be time to shake down the piggybank. Carolly

I'm waiting for IRS refund to purchase a lot at 1 time as well, due to the CD only policy...Can't wait!!!

Lyne ( ) posted Fri, 13 February 2004 at 1:59 PM

Well you have SOME time... I have a lot of maps to do, and must to pre-set poses for each fox body type...(fun for me, as it is almost playing!) I will post new foxes as I go..and next up is the Gray fox, with improved eye maps (I changed the eye map on the red fox - I am never satisfied!:) and made the eyeball moving morphs.... stay tuned! :))

Have you considered using parented eyeball props instead, like my AnthroEyes for the Poser wolf? It's fairly easy to hide the original, nonposable eyes with either transparency or a custom morph. And props work well with the Point At function.

Lyne ( ) posted Mon, 16 February 2004 at 4:39 PM

The new moving eye works really well and is really simple.. see my NEW post on the Gray fox preview now..shows eyes! :))

JTrout is putting mice and chipmunks in freestuff. I'd hate for him to think that we would bait our images with small critters while waiting for the foxes and wildcats to show up. Carolly

Looks good lyne:-) The WildCats are fantastic and this fox looks to be a winner as well. Have to scrape a few pennies together, time to buy more of yor product:-) I must say that after the instant gratification of web downloading, waiting for the WildCats CD to arrive was filled with anticipation and a little bit like Christmas day when it finally showed up LOL Ron
