Subject: And the next step is???.....

Okay...so I have my textures all made, and ready to use. Now comes the tricky part. I have never done this before, so I am going to sound like a complete newb. I have always used someone else's character creations when doing my renders....for example Lisbeth's Tindir character. I might change her face dials (to change her structure) just a tiny bit to make each render different, but for the most part, I leave it alone. I took Vic2, and added my texture to it, and then moved the dials and made her look just like I wanted her. How in the world do I go about saving that so I can reuse this same character over and over with just the click of a button? Like with Tindir, one click on Victoria, and there she is....all ready to go. I don't want to have to redo my character each and every time, because I know I won't ever do it the same....lol. (And writing down every dial that I change along the way so I can refer back to it later gets tedious....lol.) Also, suppose someone else would like to use this same character....I have no idea how to even give them this character. Sure, I can give them the texture map / bump maps...but not the character itself. I guess what I am saying is after I create the texture maps and morph the character in Poser to look the way I want to, how do I get her ready to sell? Any of you wonderful character merchants that could drop me an email and help me, I would GREATLY appreciate it. Info you probably need to know: I use P4 with the Pro Pack. The base of my model is always Victoria2 as I am too broke to afford any other....lol. (Hence wanting to make my own characters based off Victoria....until I can make a profit off mine, I can't afford to buy yours....) Thanks so much in advance. email me at: sierraonya@yahoo.com if there is a lot of information involved in this. Thanks!! --Heather aka Avengia

It can be done in multiple ways. The big solution is to simply save her to your Figures palette. If the changes are mainly in the face you can also save the face, in the faces palette. Finally you can save it as a pose file, but it's a bit more risky imo... sometimes it doesn't seem to save the dials properly, at least I've had problems with that. The bullet-proof way is to save it as a character :o)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

And to redistribute/sell your character, while staying within copyright law and not sending out the Vic2 char itself, you'll have to use something like the "MAT Pose Creator" http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=5174 by JHoagland. Jack
