Well here it is! My Son and his Partner have just finished the rendering of Jamie Chandler Bryster 4lbs 14oz, 3 weeks earlier than expected at 13:05hrs (GMT)14/2/04. Although this project will require massive amounts of postwork, it has already brought huge amounts of pleasure into our lives. Jamie & the Render Farm (Michelle) are both doing well. Grandpa Bryster is well chuffed!

Woohoo, welcome to the wonderful world of grandparenting. Hope he gives you as much fun and love as mine have given me. And I agree with Ricky..a pc as soon as poss. My little GD would sit on Dads knee and press keys at only a few months old, and now approaching her 4th birthday she is quite a whizz.

But it sure got a realistic look, especially with that slightly oversaturated lighting. Nice render man. Oh, and congratulations. :)

Mr & Mrs Bryster (Me & Her) would like to thank you all for your kind comments on the birth of our newest Grandchild! What a day we had. The missus new about this as soon as it happened but kept me in the dark till I got to the hospital where my son met me at the door and said, "Come and meet your new Grandchild" Shock or what? The pic I took shows Jamie extending his mouse-ing finger, he's ready for work already ...:-) Then last night I checked my lottery ticket and found I had won!....all of 10. But Hey! better than a slap in the face with a wet kipper! FYI we now have FOUR grandchildren. Thanks once again, guys! The Bryster

Not surprised at the nine months render--it is an animation render after all! Think of all the frames at full size that had to be done!

Congrats to you and yours, Bryster.

attileus ( ) posted Sun, 15 February 2004 at 9:43 AM

Wow man, complex boolean works here, great skin texture and (probably) detailed animation with autonomous AI :-)) - well done!

electroglyph ( ) posted Sun, 15 February 2004 at 11:09 AM

Congratulations! And that 10 will come in handy for diapers when he starts to "poolean" render.

SevenOfEleven ( ) posted Sun, 15 February 2004 at 12:55 PM

Congrats. Maybe you could have reduced the rendering time, if you did not add true ambience and volumetrics.

electroglyph ( ) posted Sun, 15 February 2004 at 2:39 PM

You're Grandpa, When the true ambience and volumetrics start you can hand em' back to the parents!

gregsin ( ) posted Sun, 15 February 2004 at 7:22 PM

Congratulations Bryster! There's lots more enjoyment to come, I know because I became a 2 time grandpa in 2002 and I'm having a ball with the grandchildren.

Gog ( ) posted Mon, 16 February 2004 at 1:39 AM

Congratulations Chris and every best wish to you and your family on this wonderful event. He'll probably be a heartbreaker when he's older, why else would he insist on appearing on St Valentines day. 8) Catlin

TheBryster ( ) posted Tue, 17 February 2004 at 8:41 AM

Catlin: He didn't insist. Mom said 'Get outa there! Enough freeloading already!'
