Allow me to suggest a book, "Photoshop Channel Chops" by David Biedny, Bert Monroy and Nathan Moody (see link). It is written for Photoshop 4, but the book is a gem. About your contest entry, I like the concept. A remark though; your lighting is not consistent. The womans extended arm has the light coming from the left, while the light in the room is coming from the right. - BjornI live by that book! (photoshop channel chops) My copy has no cover left and the pages are taped back in! Even though it's written for ps 4- it's still very valid. Even with the new functionality of photoshop 8, i still find myself using the techniques i learned in that book. Definatly a must have for the book collection!

First the question, does anyone know of a real good tutorial on the use of channels and paths in photoshop? Now the statement, well i finally finished my entry for the renderosity magazine cover contest and have submitted it, i used a little bit of bryce, a little bit of poser, and a whole heck of a lot of photoshop to create it. Hope you all like it. It is number 68 out of 70 entries. I cant place it in my gallery yet as per the rules of the contest. But people can look at it by going to the contest area.
