Now available (for free) at Vanishing Point: the X-Wing Fighter, from Star Wars/ The Empire Strikes Back/ Return of the Jedi.

This model has been "optimized" for use in Poser and includes a high-detail of detail (approx 25,000 polygons).

It also includes:

  • move-able wings (with limits)
  • opening canopy (with limits)
  • detailed cockpit
  • landing gear is a separate part: use the hierarchy editor to show/ hide

The zip file is 3M in size, but it's well worth the download. It includes:

  • obj geometry file and cr2/ rsr figure files
  • jpg texture files
  • pz2 poses to position R2-D2 and Mike 2 (these figures not included)
  • gif template map (for making your own textures)
  • MPI "material definition file" for use in my MAT Pose Creator (to create MAT poses)

And while you're there, check out the rest of the resources available at Vanishing Point.

All images were rendered 100% in Poser 4.

Wonderful. Which version of R2-D2 is your pz2 for? I have three different versions of the tin can. Thank you.

Coolness :-) Does Harry know he's got a new fanbase after the poserisation of his work? ~S

IIRC, he did at the time, and loved it. But the model seems to have long ago disappeared, as well as the poserized version. leaves us to dig up a decent looking one now to go with this ship since it doesn't come with one. lol

thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)
