At least, I think so. The above shot was one I posted originally back in October when this event happened (I still can't believe I've been so busy I haven't been able to get to these until now). Anyway, the original was just a quick correction and cropping just to show what was at the event. But I still find it interesting how different the final image - below - turned out. And it's not like I spent 30 minutes on it. Just my normal workflow. *shrug* Just an observation ... what's it all mean? I dunno. :D

Fabulous work Donald.... big difference when compared side to side like that.... Thanks Misha! Should I spank Donald for clogging up the thread? Heheh...

And what is really sad is I -STILL- uploaded the wrong one. I did one and then realized I had my monitors profile set for gaming (I use a higher gamma for gaming so I can see sneaky people hiding in the shadows). Ah well ... Jordster - :P Cleaned up the background, but there really isn't a huge difference in the postwork. That's what I find interesting. I just controlled my curves better, so that the contrast isn't as harsh in the final version. I also color corrected it correctly (well, in the real final one). This one is a little too warm for me. That's what I found interesting. That a finer use of the curves and whatnot gives a softer look to the skin, a softer look to the shadows and highlights, etc. Hey 'chelle, are you going to use the paddle or do it ... shiver barehanded? ;D

i like the cleaned up background of the new one but as you've mentioned it does look too warm.

Pictures appear to me, I shoot them.   Elliot Erwitt
