WOW! That is absolutely oustanding. I love your attention to details ... the way the flags move, the quivering lips, pupils dialating, just superb. You should indeed be very proud of this work, it's professional quality and very charming. I've done some (far cruder) animation with that ant model (I think it's Ming's, is that right?) Wonderful character. I'm curious as to why this is the tale of "Robin Ant" when it appears to be based on the tale of William Tell, but that's no big deal. Thanks for sharing, I'm going to check out your website for sure. Dean
Ah, Rubbertoons.com! I've been a fan of yours ever since I saw the Ajacs animation awhile back! I, too love the attention to detail - the slight quiver as the arrow is held prior to release, the added bonus of the spears' landing. My only thought for possible improvement was one that I struggle with myself; sometimes it looks like animators move things (arms, legs, etc.) a little too slow. There were a couple of times I thought something was a little slow, but a couple of movements out of all the ones you did is less than 1% so this is a very minor (and subjective) observation. I also appreciated your audio! It's so often neglected but you obviously put a lot into it and it turned out great! I'm glad to see someone is finally giving Larry Fine (Special Thanks screen) the recognition he deserves!

Thanks everybody. Yes, the model is the Free ant that It's Ming is offering on his web site. I had to re-bone it to make the hands (the original has mitts) and make some morphs. Ming's stuff is great. How long? The keyframing took about two weeks and the sets were pretty easy. Any other questions? I'd be glad to answer. Joe
LOL! That was marvellous! "First Aid Tent this way" hahahahaaa! You mean the morgue maybe? A couple of things I noticed: 1. A lit candle in a well lit room on a bright and sunny day - seems highly incongruous. 2. Robin's wave as he gets on stage (or rather as he brings his arm down again) seems odd. Like he first pulls in his forearm, then lowers his upper arm. One does both as a single fluid motion. Looks robotic. 3. He spends no time at all aiming for the first two arrows - seems very strange if it's his kid's life at stake here.... He should aim for at least a second or so. 4. How did the arrow go through the middle of the chest plate of the knight on the right? Impossible... perhaps if you moved it a bit, to the joint of the armour, say at the shoulder or neck. 5. When Robin does actually shoot right, the crowd goes from loud booing to just polite applause - without any vocal enthusiasm. Seems odd. 6. Very odd looking apple - almost cylindrical? I'm not complaining about everything :o) - just having opinions lol. All round an excellent Poser anim. :] Fish
numanoid, We've pushed for an animation gallery but the PTB have to deal with the technology issues. We were able to get a compromise of sorts. If you look in the Free Stuff area, you will see "Animation" as an option. That is, for the time being, the Renderosity Animation Gallery. I've encouraged them try to integrate access to it from the Galleries page but have so far been successful.

Ive just posted to my web page a new animation that I created in Poser and Max called The Tale of Robin Ant.I put a lot of effort into this one, so if you have the time to comment I would really appreciate it.
There is a very small version of it for dial-up users, but the image is pretty small and you loose some detail.
For the higher res versions (plus another animation Im proud of) go to:

All comments welcomed.
