*Hi! There was an ice sculpture festival (like every years)not far from my house in ottawa this month. Last saturday, one of my friend went to the festival and he took some pictures. Ill just post some of them here to let you see the beauty and the talent of those participants. Here is the first picture. One of my favorite. I a woman with a horse body playing harp. Taking pictures of Ice sculpture is nto an easy task. I tried it at St-Ce, Quec sculpture contest. did not like any of the pics. Congrats on these shots.

Wow .. dunno if I could create something that intricate that I couldn't keep for a long time. :) Shooting ice sculpture is really tough. Backlighting without a busy background or with a shallow DOF seem to work best to bring out all the delicate details and sparklies. That train is amazing. Wow. -=>Donald

Dunno if it's difficult .. never had a chance to try but it seems to be no easy task .. anyways, difficult or not, this are excellent shots and the sculptures are gorgeous. As Donald .. i don't know if i could do something like that. Create so much beauty in days or even weeks and than with one sunny day, all is gone? Thanks for sharing this shots Benoit!!
