I've done this one to test the catsuit's capacity to take tiled textures in Poser5 : it works all right, with no scale change, nor any unwanted distortions. @3dzone : great textures and great image too !

This is my first time checking in since the release. Sales are increadable for an item that has only been released a few hours ago! Over 50 people have looked at the product so far and over 50 new poeple have looked in on our little chat also. I am so overjoyed at that the hard work of The3dZone, Ynsaen, Shadownet, and my self is being so appriciated. Thank you everyone who has participated in this group up to now, all the beta testers and all my customers. Lets keep the thread going! New people who are looking in for the first time, join in our chat!!! Thank you marty

Thank you joffry! Thank you Yggdrasil for that great plug in the Gallery. Thank You triggermansam for leaving such a nice review of the product. You are also the proud owner of the very first one off the assembly line. lol, thank you marty

insomniaworks ( ) posted Wed, 18 February 2004 at 7:12 PM

Also an outstanding picture you just posted 3dZone. Increadable. Great picture from Compiler also, thank you for your review on the texture flow.

triggermansam ( ) posted Wed, 18 February 2004 at 11:45 PM

wow! I didn't know I was the first buyer! I had been lurking on this thread for about a week and a half, eagerly anticipating the suit. Imagine my surprise when I come home from a tedious day at work and I find the suit is up two days ahead of schedule. And it was everything I could have wanted and more (ahem... neko goodies, w00t). I had been debating on whether or not to get into texturing. This product was the last straw. My imagination is kicking into high gear with all the possibilities for it. So for now, I will be happily looking up texturing for dummies on google. =) I have some questions regarding the use of the trims. I assume that to turn some of them off, I use transparency maps right?

insomniaworks ( ) posted Thu, 19 February 2004 at 12:15 AM

Thank you trigger, glad to be of help "I have some questions regarding the use of the trims. I assume that to turn some of them off, I use transparency maps right?" Yes, its a matter of going the the materials and selecting trims one at a time and slidding the transparency max all the way up to 100% to turn trims off. Reply number 69 has links to the uvmaps. marty

Something I'm working on using the catsuit.

Not 100% happy with the texture yet but I think you get the idea who it is. I need a duster coat now for anime doll anyone want to make one as a project? :) Just in case it's not coming across she's supposed to be a representation of Battle Angel Alita (Gally)

Attached Link: Free Stuff Item No 1

file_94503.jpg

Just wanted to let you know that I have finsihed and uploaded Free Stuff Item No 1.

This package contains one new file in the Figures Library. It is an EZ Pose Tail done by "Compiler". You will find full body morphs in the body of the tail for great natural looking poses.

This package also contains three transmap MATs for the Cat Textures on the Catsuit. These 3 MATs represent two diffeerent approaches that The3dZone and my self have for a transparency map. I thought I would include them both rather than exclude one idea.

There are two MATs called "aw_panthose and aw_stockings" These are stand alone MATs - these MATs contain a nylon texture for bump and transmap for more realism.

Finely, I have added Eight of my favorite poses. You may have seen these poses in advertising material time to time.

Thank you
marty

Nanoshi ( ) posted Sat, 21 February 2004 at 5:20 AM

OK I love this product I really do, I have some feedback though, nothing wrong with the package just some ideas which may be possible to do as a freepack and some that might require a bit of re-modelling in which case I dunno how you would/could or even want to deal with it :) ok... 1) Mats to turn the sleeves off but leave the rest of the catsuit on (I think this is the only matt not included) I can do it myself obviously but not everyone starting out knows these things. 2) Probably more difficult to do without remodelling, but the halter like top effect you have on the front of the catsuit, is it possible to get a materials to do a similar pattern on the back so one can make the appearance of a short or even long vest like effect on the figure? none of the above points are critacisms, just things I would like to see if possible for some things I have in mind. (not that I expect you to cater to just my needs, these where more universal observations I had).

compiler ( ) posted Sat, 21 February 2004 at 5:28 AM

Hi Nanoshi, do you already have a duster coat for another character ? If so, I could convert it to fit May Doll if you wish ?

SenshiTaurus ( ) posted Sat, 21 February 2004 at 5:30 AM

Oh, i'm right now doing some more poses for the tail and will release them as a freebie.......just like Marty wanted.......

Nanoshi ( ) posted Sat, 21 February 2004 at 6:56 AM

Compiler, I have the duster for V2 and Stephanie somewhere I can dig that out, has alot of morphs to it would the be affected during conversion to fit anime doll?

-Yggdrasil- ( ) posted Sat, 21 February 2004 at 7:02 AM

Nah, the morphs should live through the process of conversion. Dang... Hack beat me to it! I needed to buy the DAZ Platinum stuff first. ^_^

Hi, just wanted to share a screenshot with you of a texture/clothes addon pack I am helping Insomniaworks with, will let him fill you in more, but it's basically set in an Anime universe of our own design and will utilize the catsuit and some additional clothing items etc.

-Yggdrasil- ( ) posted Sat, 21 February 2004 at 6:25 PM

I have been looking into fixing something onto the ears to make them look like Persocoms on and off for a while now. ^_^ Haven't made too much progress on it, though. Also kind of stuck on the hair, but I've got the basic face and eyes down.

Nanoshi ( ) posted Sat, 21 February 2004 at 7:07 PM

Nice wetsuit :) there are some flippers in the free section for animidoll and some goggles, will go well with the suit :)

Outragious Texture Compiler!

triggermansam ( ) posted Sat, 21 February 2004 at 11:21 PM

omg you read my mind Nanoshi and IW! As I said in a previous post, I have finally decided to try my hand at texturing. The first thing I wanted to do was to make a set of cammies. But I ran into the same problem in the crotch area that I see in your screenshot. The leg areas and the crotch areas don't exactly line up easily. I thought fixing it would be too hard for me to do, being my very first texture effort. I can't wait to see how your finished texture turns out. Perhaps I can learn a thing or two.

(edited post : I posted at 2:00 in the morning, now that I've had a few hours of sleep, I think the picture originally posted sucked, so I repost a new one, without undue specularity. My apologies for people who read this thread) (original text was) Great work Nanoshi and Marty ! I love the style and the textures. This afternoon, I played a little with the catsuit, and came up with a texture to make it a wetsuit. If anybody is interested, I'll put it in the frestuff.

The3dZone ( ) posted Sun, 22 February 2004 at 7:41 AM

Ok, since everyone is posting pictures of their Catsuit projects, I thought i'd post mine. No postwork done in this, it was all done in poser (even the resizing)..... I would like to thank Insomniaowkrs (Marty) in helping me create the belt (I had Milkshape so it was harder to do) and for coming up with the idea of only importing parts of the doll rather than the whole body......... Texture and Belt by me, Original Characters done by their creators (sorry, I don't know who makes them, and I dought it's Disney or either they'll be on the Disney channel rather than Fox Kids.....)

SenshiTaurus ( ) posted Sun, 22 February 2004 at 8:53 AM

P.S Poses are the Dynagirl Poses (apart from Alex) in the freebies section, and faces are from the anime doll faces, poses, textures, ect pack in the works by me.....

Nanoshi ( ) posted Sun, 22 February 2004 at 10:39 AM

Another texture update for Battle force Senbotsu! in the previous picture you saw 4 versions of the ground-pounders combat suits, they being from L - R, Desert World Operation, Urban/Ship Operation, Water World Operation and Forest World Operation. In the Picture above we have as follows L - R Tanker* in Damage Control uniform, Special Ops Stealth suit, Bridge Officer Uniform, and Mecha Pilot suit. *Tankers are cybernetically enhanced clones grown in large vats or tanks of synthetic embryonic fluid. They are often used in situations where human lives outweigh the cost of equipment, in this case Ship Damage control. A Tanker is considered equipment rather than living people.

insomniaworks ( ) posted Sun, 22 February 2004 at 10:49 AM

I just saw your textures Nanshoni, Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not just saying that either, what do you think of the boot so far? marty

Nanoshi ( ) posted Sun, 22 February 2004 at 10:57 AM

I think you took a 5 min photoshop sketch of something I had in my head and turned it into reality :) I love the boots they are exactly how I pictured them in my head :)
