Subject: Breast Movement

Nebula ( ) posted Fri, 15 September 2000 at 8:48 AM · edited Tue, 22 October 2024 at 10:30 AM

I have come across a few animations in which the females breasts were animated while she ran or fought. I was wondering what the trick is for this in Poser4. Are there any tutorials or sample "source" for this? Having my character drop down from a wall and "nothing happen" looks odd. It would be a great help. Thanks!

you can use the PAE module at Poser++ for it - it works fine (I know what I'm saying) :-) Chris

Well first you need some breast MTs for movement which can be found at great sites like Morph World (link on the side bar). Next, animators usually adjust these themselves knowing when they will bounce and such. Nerd has a tutorial where you can automatically tie a MT to a body part rotation so, as you lift the arms, the breasts could go up. For the most part the animator adjust these themselves. Alsom make sure you're looking at a poser animation. Animation master can do this too but it uses patchs and splines with control points.

Cool. I'll look for the PAE module, MT's and the Nerd Tutorials. Is it difficult to splice the new MT's into an existing figure? I assume Nerd may have tutorials on this as well? Any other info would be great. I really appricate all your responses. I hope I can post something here soon!

One other question. What is Animation Master. Is that another seperate package? Expensive?

Mason ( ) posted Fri, 15 September 2000 at 3:43 PM

What is PAE? Animation Master is around $300. Its a patch based system with a lot more rendering and modelling features. You can do some pretty high end stuff with it. I'm just learning it so I don't know how quick it is to make scenes and such.

PAE for Poser After Effect is a new Poser utility from Masa++ site. Here i a copy of the readme: P.A.E. detect and analyze the figure elements( which direction the body faced or how much each joints bended) from the BVH*. After analysis of movement, P.A.E. apply the most suitable parameters for the specialized morph targets** of each body parts, and export the result as pz2. This is awsome isn't it ? Now my turn Mason where can i get Animation Master ? Yarp

P.A.E is a very cool tool. Mason did you remember the bikini top video I sent you? That bikini has P.A.E morphs. It will follow the breast movement. It will only work with the figure has P.A.E morphs. Gerry ;)

We have a character in the works, Victoria based, that will have movement oriented morph targets that come with it. You'll still have to adjust the dials but it'll be an improvement. Soon...

Handspan* that is a super idea. I've been looking for a way to push the breasts together to create cleavage. Storm Chaser had his wondebra but that had limited application. I look forward to your release.

I've created special breast flop/bounce morphs for animations just as you describe. They are set up so that you adjust them at specific frames in the animation (i.e., 15, 30, 45) so the effect is automatically tweened.....work quite well....only three morphs are needed..... Krel

Krel, your MT's sound great! Are they available? Where would I look for them? I came across a small avi of a female wearing what looked like a silky camisole and an open trenchcoat walking by the camera like a fashion model. As tho braless, the movement of her breasts with her stride was SO REAL! Better than real life, if that's possible! lol Anyway, that's the kind of animation I would like to produce. Very fluid movement. If I can find the contributor, I'll surely pass it on. As always, I truly appricate your input and guidance. I just wish some of you were near by so that I could get some true one-on-one instruction! So many questions... so little patience! haha Thanks again!
